Fiction creators as a whole ran out of patience pretending fat people can do anything heroic. There's exceptions but in general, you're fat because you won't deny yourself anything and that carries over into how you treat other people. Love my fat friend but he'd sell me for a cheeseburger and make the excuse he had to do it because of low blood sugar.
