To be fair, she was never straight-up rejected, unlike Vamola.
I'm not exactly blaming Okarun too much, since Aira's approaches (especially the first ones) were pretty weird and his feelings were obviously less clear back then, while Aira's were also still mostly fake.
The problem I think is that while Aira's feelings became authentic, Okarun stopped paying attention to all the signals because he likely just assumed that was just part of Aira's wacky personality or something.
So if Aira "can't take the hint", the same could be said about Okarun for completely disregarding her feelings. Actually, this might very well be an actual flaw coming from his intense Momo-devotion: his apparent inability to seriously register the nature of Aira's interactions with him.
I'm 100% sure that he's not trying to lead her on nor hurt her on purpose, but do I think this will contribute to the disaster.
