This didn’t read as “the characters being written wrong” to me, but rather, a reflection of the time spent on Earth and with each other. The theme of the season was “family” and the dynamic was adjusted to reflect that. Everyone was shown to play nicer, to relax a bit more, but all traits present were aspects of their characters in season 1, it’s just that some traits were more focused on than others. I have my own headcanons about the pair, after spending a bit thinking about what happens next. Basically it starts out as intense hatefucking, then it simmers down to a situationship once Urethane calms the fuck down.
