JOJO stand in Douluo Continent, for the others most of them ended up stopped halfway because the raws were not leaked on the typical sites, or the writer was a eunuch, or I dropped it because the author suddenly went full ccp dick riding mode. In general I think diary and chat group fanfics have potential but you have to check out the first ten chapters or so to see if it’s worthwhile. For example Douluo: My diary made Tang Sanzhong rebel is pretty funny with harem seggs for awhile then went full retard later but I forget why it’s been too long so I dropped it. But the JoJo one is by far the most polished, has meta, and only lacks romance if you want that because MC is too scared of having his IQ drop from romance when Tang San hasn’t been dealt with. Another great chat group one is the Elden Ring one since he gets teamed up with a bunch of shady people like Aizen, Cyberpunk V, Madoka Kyubey, etc and the MC basically abuses mechanics and shit during his runs and the npc pov like Melina is very fun.

Tried to take a dive into webtoons for the first time in a while and honestly, they all felt like the same trash. Player this, regresser that, but even ignoring the trope shit it just felt every series concept was strongest MC becomes even stronger with little thought into a world setting. Also, what's the deal with like every webtoon series on Mangaupdates having lax tags and being behind where actual translations are? For unlicensed shit, even.

I also tried to look at Jump Toon's shit (Japanese webtoons) and their site's just kind of designed like total ass. The series have tags, but you can't actually search or browse by tags. The only way to find series seems to be recently updated, random ass recommendations, or rankings divided by overall, for girls, and for boys; I wanted to search Fantasy for example but there just wasn't a way to. It's extremely paywalled, but otherwise it just fell into the same tropes as the gookshit did in the 3 chapters I was allowed to read where nothing really happened.

They're are weekly manga that have been running for years on end that have more pages than that and better art. The thing I will never understand about the banished from the party theme is how over the top they always start off. 99% of them is some grand performance by the ego-tripping party leader with MC so flabbergasted that the spaghetti just cascades out of their pockets. In nearly all of those cases the MC should have been it coming by the fact that their party members hated/abused them but it's like they suffered from Japanese office worker delusion syndrome or something and didn't understand their own work nor the standards by which every other party in the fantasy world treats their fellow party members.

I realize that part of it is intentional but even isekai'd black company workers understand they were working for a black company so it makes no sense that the banished MC doesn't understand they were in a 'black party'.
