Refreshing at first until you realize they have their own set of cliches they're even more creatively bankrupt about. Adults behave like they're in high school, everyone's dating a celebrity, and every time one seems to be trying something interesting it derails. It's like the Chinese always get bored of their own story and abandon key plot points to jump genres. They don't seem to care about continuity and consistency as much as Japanese writers do, not that Japanese are the best storytellers either but at least they try.
And long strip fucking sucks. Endless scrolling with the laziest panel composition and close ups. I'd say typically the art is a little subpar to the average manga but because it's in color it gets overrated. Nevermind that backgrounds are always stock 3D models and you can play a fun game of spotting the same buildings between series.
