For the first time in 10+ years I am not watching a single season anime... anime really has declined.

I'm currently watching Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song and I love the show so much. I literally had soiface watching some scenes of it. 9.9/10, best backlog show I have watched in ages.

How do people like this even end up posting on /a/ instead of some other more normalfag friendly site? Not to say /a/ is too far from being that.

It's a pretty shit season, but not watching anything isn't much of a conversation starter.

I'm currently watching Mitsudomoe. It's a 2010 show but is still pretty funny even today. Is there anything worth watching this season?

Bocchi was okay, not better than K-on though. The last actually good seasonal anime I remember watching was Eizoken. Just feels like there's way too many sequels now and most of the other stuff is garbage LN adaptions or other slop. I miss good anime originals.

Eizouken was neat but it seems like a weird choice if you're being picky about "actually good" shows. It was far too focussed on being Introduction to Animation edutainment to do much with its characters or story.

I think I'm just going to re-watch aria or Non Non Biyori, or maybe Sketchbook Full Colors. These are my comfort anime now. Actually I think the answer is almost certainly Sketchbook.

Is Aria worth it, ultimately? And note I'm absolutely in for Iyashikei in general, but I haven't started properly watching Aria yet, I just skimmed over the first few minutes or so.

Yeah it's great. It's just good iyashikei, good music, likeable characters, just going on a mundane journey though everyday life. I find it also hits harder and harder each time you watch it, I probably watched it first over 10 years ago now so I get nostaligic watching it which compounds with the own nostalgia in the show, I can often just put on a random episode sink into bed and fall asleep. It, NNB, and Sketchbook are my comfy anime. I would say Hidamari too, but Hidamari is more character focused I need a comfy world to sink into to really let enjoy the escapism. Also YKK manga is better than all of them.

this shit was playing on my tv earlier today. it's honestly one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever watched. you have to sit through 24 minutes of the girls doing fuck all, talking about tea or whatever. only to get 20 SECONDS of them playing music. I thought this was a music anime, why aren't they playing music?!
