Like I said last week, the monster form is ultimately unimportant, it was just the opportunity to do something cool and slightly edgy. Nice fight sequence this week, if nothing else.

No real indication of OTR getting axed still, at the same time that several other manga are definitely ending within weeks. I don't know how long OTR will run, but it looks like it probably dodged the second axe.

Oozaru Goku isn't a fair comparison since Dragon Ball was the untested follow up to one of Shonen Jump's top 5 biggest series to date at that point, and everyone trusted Toriyama to bring the goods. It was also foreshadowed earlier in the series (with Gohan's death), and Dragon Ball was supposed to end with the Emperor Pilaf arc before its insanely positive reception got Toriyama to continue the series.

a nothing antagonist, the art is good when it comes to impactful moments or expressions, when it comes to action scenes or landscapes, it's unintelligible. I would like to see OTR's / the others goals redefined again, because it seems too vague, the lesser known characters (cowardly book guy/ wind guy, etc) should have more character building scenes, otherwise it'll just be like Wild Strawberry (all the trappings of a shounen without any reader investment)
