But somehow during the limited time they're evolving they gain enough sentient and freedom to act as parents and apparently even be in a relationship (it's very obvious the 2 angels are coded as a romantic pair, maybe by divine fate or something but they act as one when evolved).
But this only lasts while evolved for 5 minutes. These are the first Yugioh cards ever shown. Summoned skull here called Demon (its japanese name) is based on a MTG card. Blur Eyes White Dragon was also based on a MTG card called Chromium.
