There are good reasons to shit on this first episode but I bet 90% of those ratings boil down to troons trooning out about pedophilia.

The anime and the manga touched up the fight scenes so much that people forget the original reason why OPM got popular in the first place. Before everything, the webcomic was hit and it wasn’t due to its fights(the art was ass as well). Because of how off the rails the manga became and the great animation of s1, fights are what people expect of this series. They really should have just adapted the webcomic instead of failing miserably to try to adapt Murata’s crazy fights and ultra detailed art. Even the people who say, "oh I don’t care if the dialogue scenes look stilted if the fights are good" make me sick
