I just watched the movie last night at Toho Cinema Ueno. Best seat in the place. I don't remember how much Reze action was just movie-exclusive, I don't remember her doing all the acrobat shit in the manga. The sakuga was Mappa flexing their muscles to the utmost, I say it's better than all of their other sakuga excluding Sukuna vs Mahoraga. I just wish the action would have a satisfying "climax" moment. Like that one final hit that can satisfy the viewer, but Reze and Denji's final confrontation is basically ending without an attack, it just abruptly ends. Power has literally a minute screentime at most but she's adorable in each one, not even a Powerfag, but she is likable even without talking. Personality overload. This makes me really wish CSM had a cool guy villain who can fight Denji, not just another waifu that predictably betrays him. This formula has been repeated way too much. My main criticism in the story is just, Denji and Reze speedrunning their relationship. I understand Reze is attractive but how the fuck do you just skip all the build-up? Reze and Denji had some intimacy but they've only known each other for a few days max, this like Komugi x Meruem all over again. Such a dramatic ending but they only interacted like 3 or 4 times before, calm the fuck down. Thank you for reading my honest review.

I feel like there's something fucky about Asa's tendency to trip, I wonder if we'll ever receive an explanation about it.
On the surface it feels almost like a running gag, but it caused serious harm to Asa for it to be just a joke, it literally killed her own mother. The timing really is nigh super natural, in the most critical moments she trips and it completely robs her of any accomplishment or fucks her over severely.

My two biggest suspicions are that it's something intentional caused by something external such as a devil's ability or something ingrained in her mind. The reason for the latter is because she even tripped in Aging's world where devil powers do not work, but that time stands out because it's the one time where tripping didn't result in something bad.

Maybe Death is the one behind that somehow, mirroring how Makima "filled Denji up with happiness" to take it from him, maybe Death is doing the opposite to "keep Asa empty".

The problem is that this "twist" effectivelly changes nothing, it's just the war devil trying to destroy the world with eternal war, you're just removing Asa out of the equation.

And that isn't a good twist in the slightest because it suddenly turns Asa into a psycho, which is completely against her entire characterization in the story so far and again that's just Yoru, who is the embodiment of selfishness.

I genuinely have no idea how the popularity poll is going to shake out. My gut instinct says that Reze is going to get the movie boost to #1 but it’s a weak one. Since the part 1 characters are included, it’s very difficult to tell what the relative popularity is between the casts.

If this was done earlier in the story and part 1 characters weren’t included I would’ve said that Yoshida had the lock but 1) my own complaints with how he’s been handled aside I do feel that there was a fumbling of his character as it reflects in fandom enthusiasm recently and 2) Yoru has made enough things go boom in impressive ways and played the role of the sexually appealing “love interest” well enough to a larger, less critical audience that I could see her overtaking him
