Nah. This has been a cult favorite on /a/ for decades. I discovered her back in the late 00s, when the series was only half-translated and only like the first two chapters of 17-sai were done.

It still gets storytimed every couple of years.

It would flip-flop between an uncanny puppet and an actress, depending on which made more sense for the scene.

Interestingly, it also had some Sumire 17 characters in the cast.

The author actually wrote several other series but the only one that was every translated was Princess On The Train. MangaZ went down last year and that's where all of his work was available digitally. Unfortunately, I couldn't save any of it. Sumire 17/16 Sai is my favorite manga and I bought it digitally and physically for less than $20.

This? This is what you want?

I assure you, the video quality is on the end of the player, not my recording software. It maxes out at 480p, so I suspect these are the same webrips that were uploaded to 2009 streaming platforms. (I did screw up and cut off a bit of the top and bottom. Might have to make another pass at it)
Anonymous No.283035490 >>283037128
>>283033976
If you don't want the 480p webrips, there's another option: If you buy these DVDs off Yahoo Auction Japan, you can have the entire series for around 50 bucks.

Just be warned, vol 1-3 are rental store DVDs, so they're on the rare side (there's no demand for them, so they're also not worth anything). The alternative is buying the commercially released DVD box 1, which goes for stupid prices, but is much more common.

Also, the version on modern streaming platforms, on top of being 480p, also has no opening or end credits. So I'm 100% sure this is just the version uploaded to whatever primitive late-00s streaming platform it used to be on, and it got migrated over to newer platforms. Apparently this show is so obscure nobody at these companies is interested in doing a higher-quality rip of it.

Midori no Hibi was the only one that got an anime but I wouldn't say nothing else got traction. Ai Kora was longer than Midori and honestly I liked it more

I... legitimately had no idea Ai Kora was the same author as Midori Days, despite reading both back in the day. Huh.

>Itoshi no Karin
>but alas is cut short after just 20 chapters
>next work is an anthology, then a shoujo that is only 1 volume long
