yes. hordes of japanese women are obsessed with their weight. If I memeber right, in that episode they hit the mall, went to a clothing store and they start ye olde "try many outfits" montage. Some girl either gives her that thinking is her size or she asks for a specific size and then realizes she has gained weight. She ends, in an archetypical woman moment, buying the skirt even of it doesnt fit, because "she will get intop diet until it fits"
I dont remember much of this series, but that scene had its way in, because of the portrayal of a woman moment was spot on.
