Why did Kasen do it?
He stood alone in front of #2 in Kamunabi, another top5, elite officer and, ahem, Hakuri, virtually nothing was giving him away.
In fact, he didn't even have to be there, he alongside with other Council member were conveniently hidden in the pocked dimension by Hokazono and haven't shown up untill now, when the plot demanded it.
What the fuck did he expect, trying to use his sorcery? It looks clumsy and comedic, yes, but it's unbelievably dumb and misplaced moment for something that was revealed to be the whole foundation of the Kagurabachi's story.
Kunishige dying, Chihiro's suffering, many innocent people dying - all of that happened mostly because of the guy who now got fucking knocked out like Looney Tunes villain after shitting the bed consciously.
That's such a garbage reveal and turn of event.
I am not even talking about the fact that "Clans didn't want to be under Kamunabi" basis for Kasen's motive is retarded as we seen how just two operatives (Hiyuki and Tafuki) could have in fact dismantle one of the strongest Clans.
And the fact that Kasen chose the most dangerous and hardest way to achieve his goal speaks a lot about Hokazono's capabilities as a writer. The lack of people reasoning he used for that is laughable, especially with the bunch of traitor elite members roaming around during raid.
The moment readers are staring to ask "Why didn't the character do it differently?" an author has the problems.
