People bake cookies/brownies or buy snacks and supply booze local to their country. You may not get out what you put in, but remember that giving is the most important part.

I have two Canadian cards that didn't make it last year, I'm scared if I send them to last year's addresses they might have moved, but I never have any luck asking after people the next year. I want to make thank you cards to people from last year too, but my coward ass just can't send things not knowing for sure they'll reach them. How do you guys do it? How do you have the courage to send hours of work out into the unknown where it might not be seen again? Posting photos and saying I definitely did send something isn't the same as knowing it arrived. I want them to have something to hold. Maybe I should seriously reassess how long I'm spending on these things.

I keep hearing people bringing up how he betrayed and beat the shit out of Kamille but it always seemed strange how someone who has gone through hell all his life should give a single fuck about a random brat, moreso when dealing with one of his objects of (righteous) obsession.
Char remains likeable because of his charisma throughout 79 and Z. CCA reads like someone had a hateboner for Char while never having actually watched Gundam. For one, his hate for Amuro stems from a multitude of factors and none of them were him killing a mother's day candidate.

Buddy I still like the guy but he had and has his flaws. I agree that CCA feels like a step back for him, but I also like CCA-inclusive Char as a realistic person. We regress and lash out against people, but he still cares enough about Amuro, whom he was once friends with, to make figurative and literal cries for help out to him. Regarding Kamille, despite being less than perfect of a mentor or father figure, he already cares quite a lot about Kamille and it shows. And if Kamille turning out the way he did was the one that made him outright lose faith in humanity (which is never spelled out in media afiak, apart from a Playstation cutscene showing his reaction), then that's like, dude we've been there. 0079-Zeta Char's a cool guy. 0079-CCA Char's a complex and human character who's still sympathetic and pretty darn cool, and I like both of them. You don't have to like CCA Char and I get why some people wouldn't, but to me, part of really liking a character or a (historical) person is accepting or at least understanding their flaws.

Yeah, your card made it some time in February. Sorry for taking so long to post it. But thank you so much. The painting of Chilcuck is amazing and I had it on my desk for a few months. I'm glad to be able to display it during Christmas this year. Your shading is really nice, especially the way the blush looks. I almost want to try painting this year, but I can't imagine how much practice I'd need before it looks as good as yours. Tokiyuki(Genba) is also super cute and perfectly smug, just the way I like.

Normally, I start drawing two days after we get our assignments. I need those two days to read the wishlists very carefully, decide which characters I'll draw and how much autism I'll put into those cards. Then around the 15th of November I start sending the cards that are already finished because it's never too early to start sending cards. Even when sending within Yurop, sometimes it takes an entire month for some cards to arrive to their destinations. For some reason. And around the first week of December everything is finished and sent. Then I drink a few beers to celebrate that I'm done and say to myself "Wow, I can't believe I survived one more year".
