I hated KnY without ever having seen, but I'm catching up on it rn to watch the recently released movie. It's not that bad, most of the issues I have with it are the things I'd say about a lot of random shounen series. The art looks nice and it manages to give me the basic dopamine rush anyone watches shounen for so I'm fine with it. Not my favourite shounen series (probably not even in the top 10, definitely not 5), but I get why it's popular and there is worse stuff that has gotten big. I'm only at season 4 so far though, so who knows.

Shikimori was hated because people expected it to be the next Sono Bisque Doll, when in reality it was something entirely different, though, unlike Kakegurui and SAO, no YouTuber seems to have sparked that wave of hate.

Fact:
>KnY is worthless slop, inferior to its spiritual predecessor (Naruto), in every single way.
In terms of writing, Naruto looks like Crime & Punishment compared to KnY's 50 Shades of Gray.
In terms of fights, Naruto had at least 3 memorable fights. KnY has ZERO. No originality, no tension, no nothing.
In terms of animation, Naruto's best is easily better than whatever you spics consider to be the best of KnY.
The only thing that KnY has is *less* filler (it still had filler in an era where the industry abandoned filler) and higher processing power for the graphical tools used to animate it. AND the shilling of opinion makers (your favorite YouTubers). KnY should be at least hated as much as Naruto, and ultimately more. Naruto did not ruin anime. KnY did. It raped the industry like Marvel comic movies ruined live action cinema.

Not the show as a whole, just the second season.
Faggots got filtered when it came out because it wasn't exactly the same as season 1 and ever since then the second season has never lost that stigma.

AniRecord's ending is incredible. I actually burst out laughing when Kyubey turned to the screen and told Iroha "congratulations, you didn't accomplish anything."

I do like AniReco though. I find something fascinating about the show's emphasis on failure and living with it. Also, all the Mikazuki Villa girls are qts.

This isn't hated enough. It's a crashgrab using an existing franchise, it's nowhere near as good as that franchise, on its own it is badly paced and goes nowhere, and is gachaslop, the flaws result directly from being gachaslop, everyone propping it is gachasloppers. There's nothing to like.

I do not hate kakegurui, it's just mid and forgettable.
I dislike demon slayer because it is a perfectly average shonen slop but it gets tons of shilling WORLDWIDE on par with onepiece but not as good as the later.

This is pretty much exactly what I think of it as well. It isn't particularly bad for a random shounen, I just don't get why it got as big as it has.
