Yes, everyone was poking fun at the manga, but it was just because Chihiro's design is kind of generically edgy on a surface level, his pose and expression in the promo art was kind of goofy, and the name "Kagurabachi" rolls off the tongue in a funny way. It's always like that with Hokazono - he always picks the wrong moment to do the thing. When the readers need downtime, he speedruns, and when the readers are ready for a fantastic showdown, he decides to go on detour to show what is the character from 80 chapters ago is doing.
