Probably not if they can get away without paying one. The author of Ruri no Houseki studied mineralogy in university, so they bypassed one there. Dr. Stone only used one when they were talking about topics that was outside of the creators' fields, like chemistry.
If Isekai Doctor ever gets an anime, it 100% will be the author telling the production staff how to portray the surgeries
