What do we think about it? Both the anime and the manga? It baffled me they gave the anime an original ending.

I thought that anime was decent but I lost interest after 6 or so episodes. I really like the manga though. I'm not mad about a lot of the side characters and some of the stories are a bit iffy but I think the central characters are really strong, it's got great art and unlike what>>283136529 I enjoy that it's urban legends for a change instead of just another story about yokai myths

What you want ot hear(and ignore)? It starts with a serious and tragic theme about a talented kid who lost years, lost light in her eyes, would rather die, then returns to her adult form. Next chapter destroys it, because now she can de-age her body without any consequences. Something that could be considered good writing immediately degraded to fetish bullshit.
Literally every story works like this; any attempt to talk seriously is immediately destroyed by some fetish bullshit. Oh, this girl lost her friend, so tragic, oh no, she's a raging molesting dyke.

Both the wiki and the TV Tropes page are pretty empty given there's a lot of lore, which may explain the lack of fanfiction.

I always find the girl's life pretty comfy. Working in a comfy bookstore, coming to an empty home filled with novels and writing your own. All that while being a loser in your late 20s/early 30s. I find that so peaceful and comfy for some reason, I would only add a cat.

Plot was pretty fuck weird tho. Might read the manga some day.

Well, there was a cat, but it didn't end well. Y'know what could've been a good plot? Sumireko being a single mom? Of course that would've thrown the 'virgin' bit out of the window unless the curse didn't require it or they were adopted, but still, a thicc, young mom would've been a nice break from generic shota shit.

It's decent enough but it feels like the author either hadn't decided on the overarching story until about half-way in or he didn't know how to properly mix it with the random mysteries happening
Another problem is how static the characters are, for the most part they're just reacting to the stuff happening but the main trio doesn't change much in response

what I would be more interested in knowing is, why handicap yourself from the get go with censorship?, if they wanted to make a series, why bid on one with nudity in it, they could have gone with one kid friendly like a shonen or something.

Why? It was clear they won't get a second season so they went ahead with an original ending.
The anime is fine. It's a faithful adaptation up to the end of the Vtuber arc. I liked the VA choices and sensei was a cutie.
The manga is great. Despite the introduction of new characters the cast doesn't feel bloated and everyone has a purpose. The story knows how to blend horror, seriousness and comedy at the same time. Adashi and Sumireko's relationship is the highlight for me, it keeps getting better by the chapter.
