Been doing a best-of KyoAni journey lately, and just started Dragon Maid, and I have to say it's somehow just hitting the spot perfectly for me. I don't know if I'd be enjoying it just as much if I watched it at another time. But it's got just the right level of bizarre comedy and goofy characters for me in this moment, and I kinda love it. And then there's that sweetness that hits, and somebody shows real empathy and kindness to somebody, and it's not some big huge deal, it's understated and subtle in its execution. So good.

Well I've already seen K-On, Nichijou, CITY. I'm currently watching Haruhi and Dragon Maid. Haven't decided yet what I'll watch after I finish one or both, but Hibike Euphonium, Clannad, Lucky Star, Hyouka, Violet Evergarden, and Tamako Market have all been on my radar, so likely one of those next.

It's crazy hearing Yuuko Gotou as Kanna's teacher, after watching CITY where she played Tanabe (best character in that show by the way). MAL has her credited as some other character I haven't met yet, but I guess she did a few small roles as well. I knew KyoAni likes working with the same people again and again, but dang, I'm actually becoming a big fan of a lot of their recurring VAs.
