I dropped this series since it seemed to settle into a cycle of hyping up Inori for a big win and then having her lose hard while wanking Hikaru at the same time. Did that ever change?

i mean she can't just mary sue her way through the whole series. it the goal is still the olympics, she's gonna mess up along the way. that being said they did make hikaru a little too op, and i don't know how the mangaka is gonna handle the rivalry in a satisfying way. i'll still read it to then end since i love the art and emotional moments.

That's what annoyed me the most. Not only did Inori keep failing but every time Hikaru would pull a quintuple axel out of her ass right afterwards, and I fear the author intends to either magically make Inori just as OP or resolve the conflict with some gay yuri shit just because it's her fetish.
