It's not even that good of a language learning method. It's very restrictive that you can't skip units. The amount of repetition is calculated for the one lesson a day users, not the ones who use it more, so its very repetitive if you don't skip to the next unit, once you know the words in the unit. The speaking exercises are too lenient I was learning german, it gave me the sentence: Wollt Ihr nächste wochenende Fahrrad fahren? and I said as a joke: Wollt Ihr den totalen Krieg? and it accepted. The kana studying is nice, that it makes you practice the stroke order and such, but as I said, the platform is very restrictive, it feels too slow to learn to learn seriously. The sentences can be retarded. Since they started using AI, the pronunciation sounds fucked for the bear character.
If you have a Japanese friend , asking him or her to help practice the language along with an actual method is the best practice, but good luck finding a Jap outside Japland. Learn from textbooks and Anki. Try to translate from raw manga threads here.
