It's fun to read and all, but it just feels kind of non-committal, I guess. I never really get the sense that anything that's happened has been particularly important. It doesn't feel like there's any real plan behind where things are going, which is a problem when one of your big selling points is the mystery angle.
My favorite is Mikadono Sisters, and while you can certainly criticise that series for being non-committal, one thing it does do well is giving its emotional moments proper build-up and weight.

I liked that detective show last season so was thinking of looking into this. Not unpleased to hear it leans into comedy rather than romance
