However a Gnosia can pretend to be one so in order to make sure they aren't feeding false information to other crew members you must also out yourself if they do it; but then if there are two engineers and one dies to a Gnosia attack you know that the other one must be bad unless there's also a bug or AC member onboard who will get introduced later and that makes everything else more complicated.

In cases like this loop where the fake engineer got voted out, there's no reason to not kill Yuri, yes. But generally you won't have fakes get removed day 1 unless the really fuck their lying. In such scenarios, the Gnosia can't really afford to off the real engineer without consequences. An engineer dying to Gnosia while other engineers are still alive is pretty much an admission that the dead one is the real deal, which will paint a huge target on the remaining fake engineer's back. The Gnosia are basically trading one of their own in order to get rid of the engineer, which in some situations you can argue is the correct choice. Best case would be to convince the group to vote out the real engineer instead.

I think it's worth playing, but I disagree with the people that compare it to Mafia / Werewolf / Among Us because the fact that it's singleplayer makes it a totally different game. You're not actually trying to catch people out on their lies because all that stuff is implied to happen off-screen. Instead everyone else starts with some preconceived notions of who's human and who's Gnosia based on those offscreen things, and then you have to decide who to side with.

So in Among Us you'd say "I think X is suspicious because they spent too long doing task Y." In this game you'd just say "I think X is suspicious." because you asked them if they're human and the game made a wibble that they lied, or because a bunch of other people who you decided to trust said that they're suspicious so you want to pile on.

To be clear I don't mean that you have to guess randomly every time. There is more depth to the game like skills that let you make some level of informed choices. I'm just saying the rationale for the choices you make is very abstract, unlike those multiplayer games.

I do recommend that after loop 80 or so, when you've unlocked about 75% of the events and aren't getting new ones, to look up a guide for the rest. The last few ones have very specific trigger conditions.

The game does also make the effort to specifically say that the bodies of the victims "disappear". In fact, given one of the endings, it's very likely that the bodies do disappear instead of just being a corpse. I didn't play the game, but from the previous episode you could tell the logic from Mafia / Werewolf still works perfectly. Like when only two people voted for SQ and 3 for Setsu, despite Jina telling to vote for SQ, you could easily tell she was the culprit.
And in IRL games most people also tend to base their votes on some random shit like "I didn't like the way he said that line". It's not exactly off-screen, but it's also something you can't even tell if true or false.

Good episode. I was practically shouting at the screen when Yuuri voted for Raqio, knowing that in the game that would get you Gnos'd more often than not. Lucky for him that it was Shigemichi.
It was fast-paced though, and I didn't expect them to go through two loops in one ep. They didn't even have time to celebrate before the loop ended.

The point of the game isn't to win every loop. The timeloop macguffin that Setsu gave to Yuri is an organism that eats data and will only leave Yuri when it's full, so Yuri needs to feed it information about his fifteen co-passengers to make it full and break the loop. Yuri interacts with the people across all the loops in various ways to trigger events which unlock this information. Once all the information is unlocked, the normal ending is possible.

In loops where there's both Gnosia SQ and Kukrushka, it just means that Gnosia SQ is the Manan of the timeline where that particular loop takes place, while Kukrushka is the Manan that got transferred to that timeline due to having the Silver Key. Like the player and Setsu, Manan's loops arent linear, so the ones where she's more erratic could be her earlier loops where she hasn't mellowed out yet, while her later loops can be when shes more passive. Either way, to be honest, I don't think mellowing out necessarily has to be the case whenever she's kind to the player or childish. If you win with you and Kukrushka both as crew, the dialogue is that Kukrushka says that they'll have to find something else to play with now that the Gnosia is gone. It's less earnest childlike innocence and more that she's treating everything like one big game and so she's just having fun forever, like Flowey in Undertale. (It could also simply be her manipulating people since we know Manan already does that.)

Holy shit. This premise is so fucking retarded. Instead of a "self-destruct" function. It should just require simultaneous cold sleeping the ship over everyone onboard, and then when they get to their destination, customs opens each box until the light turns red. Then they kill the Gnosia and keep opening boxes until the light goes red again. Beyond that, it's retarded that the computer can tell there is a Gnosia, but not who. It's retarded that the system has no record of who does the attacking during the warp. It's retarded that the Gnosia is "limited" to one person during the warp, instead of killing everyone of blowing the ship up. I had accepted this retardation, but now it's also retarded that the computer doesn't know who has the Engineer credentials.

I get that it's a game, but jesus christ, it's fucking insufferable.
