7. Then the war arc begins. First phase. Kisame dies to Gai. Shinobi alliance jobs to white Zetsu army (they are stronger than in canon). I don't mind some edo tensei as well, but not en masse.

At the end, Kabuto is defeated, Edo Tensei is done. Zetsu lost. Only Tobi remains.

When Madara was dying, he created a lacrima for his soul. It had 10 seals and 10 keys in the form of rings. Each Akatsuki member had one of the rings.
According to Madara's original plan, after all the Tail Beasts are collected, his soul should be unsealed. After that, it would possess an Uchiha and get access to the Ten Tails chakra to cast Mugen Tsukuyomi - an ultimate genjutsu made real, a personal heaven for each person.
The was also plan B. If only one ringbearer remains, Madara's soul possesses him.
9. The war arc. Third and final phase. Tobi is defeated, the only ringbearer left is Sasuke. He gets possessed by Madara. Madara goes toward the Ten Tails fighting the shinobi alliance. He mogs them, takes control over Ten Tails, casts Mugen Tsukuyomi. It affects people instantly, but it needs some time to make their dreams true. During that time, Madara can't use Ten Tail's chakra.
It appears that Naruto for whatever reason (plot armor, sage mode...) is unaffected. He calls the Mugen Tsukuyomi the world of lies, rants that a flawed but real world is better, and demands Sasuke back. Naruto fights Madara, wins, and seals his soul. The genjutsu is canceled, the shinobi alliance seals Ten Tails, Naruto gets his love interest back.
