I haven't read the misavmisa novel, but the floral stuff reminds me of a fairy. I wouldn't be surprised who gets what is arbitrary. It's also Kamachi and the fairies might be weaker than the angels but have hyper specific bullshit that let them win against things they have no business defeating.

Misaki's shift form in the MvM novel had a floral motiff, but also wings and a halo (both of which Uiharu didn't have, IIRC), and Misaka's shift form started out looking more like an oni but became weirder and more biblically accurate angelic looking as it went on. Neither was their final form, as I recall.

What I was getting at is that there's certainly a pattern to Level 5s undergoing awekening and/or level shifts acquaring angel like characteristics, while some non level 5 ones had shown the floral themed elements. I don't think it's just about level (Misaki's form has both for example) so if there's any purpose behind these designs, there's probably conditions we don't really know about yet.

Phase 5.3 is when shit starts to look weirder and even more angelic, they were only at 5.1 in the WN I think.

For comparison sake:

The armored suit swinging from a hook that knocked Takitsubo over, that was on purpose, she was supposed to put it on to protect herself from the explosion and use it to slip away since it assists movement, instead it got melted. They don't explain the wireless headset but he hung it near her, put it on max volume and got far enough away that she couldn't hear him and then he answered Mugino's taunting with a “I'm right here.” through the headset so she'd think he was behind her and panic fire at the bomb. All this was planned, the manga is making it look a lot more haphazard when Hamezura is while very scared, playing chess to her checkers.

It was just supposed to shield her in the novel too. I think it needs a key to activate. And that's probably not the same power suit. It was the decoy, which I think is a good change.
