Shiramine Mashiro - No oregairu equivalent. An iinchou type. I haven't read vol 3 so I'm not the guy to describe her. The MC is good at pissing her off though.
Hanamitsuji Sora - No oregairu equivalent. She's like Tomozaki's Aoi but she means well and genuinely cares for other people. Her reason for helping the MC is genuine and not because she's pissed a loser beat her in smash.
Nanamura Hodoka - Kinda like 8man in that he's an awkward loner that makes quips but different in that he's not a acolyte of the fictional world he dreams up to cope with being a loser. He means well but he's an idiot. Not literally me.

I want a side story that focuses on Hanamitsuji's POV after Nanamura got trucked. Would be interesting to see other character reactions too like Satsuki.

Hanamitsuji is nicer than Aoi but she's so bland next to the other 2. Right from volume 1 you can tell she has feelings for the mc out of nowhere while he is the obvlious mc that doesn't see it. The author tho makes it clear that she's the main heroine. Even after the volume being about helping Ruri, volume 2 still ends with hodoka and sora walking side by side while he thinks helping Ruri was worth it partly because it made "sora smile"...even a LN with a refreshing mc can't escape the first girl trope
