AI can probably expedite tweening, but it's useless for anything else, and you need real people doing tweening to train them for key animation anyways.

Want to feel the effect yourself? Watch OPM S3 and then watch some modern cg slop. The terrible quality of S3 suddenly makes the slop seem so much better.

Depends what you mean by 'replace', but presumably it will just be similar to the many evolution of animation that have happened over time. Like digital and 3D have for example.
The average person is not going to notice or care.
Demand for anime is probably not decreasing any time soon either. So no reason to hold back.

It's got that same weird look those 60 fps AIs had years ago, it just can't do tweens that don't look weird. A human could fix it but if it can't even do shit like that it's pretty superfluous. You can't even trust it to do backgrounds by itself.
