What was the actual point in making this about vampires if the entire show is actually just about peoples personal relationship drama's? Dramas that are never solved with vampire abilities or even perspectives.

As always Japan cucked out again by refusing to allow any of the main sympathetic characters be even a little evil even if when they are blood sucking creatures of the night.

Also does Yamoris parents even fucking care about him at all, they made a point that he had to sneak out at night the first couple nights, now he's just out and about every single night from dusk to dawn.

And every single character introduced is just "oh this is a normal character or situation but its happening at night due to arbitrary pointless confines of being vampires.

Thats the other thing, what is even the point of making spawn. Its just more competition and its not like you're guranteed loyalty from them either. The whole system is so contrived.

The second OP hints at dramatic conflict but it fails to deliver, its still just vibes the show with no conflicts that don't resolve in like 4 minutes.

Firstly this is objectively incorrect. You can choose to interpret them but the conception of vampires existed before such literary notions. People in the past literally believed they were real.

Secondly, even if that was the angle we were going with in this anime what reflection of human nature do vampires represent in yofukashi? Because every vampire is just a normal person who just can't wander around during the day.

Kou's nighttime activity is escapism.
The vampires trope is basically embodiment of escapism - the opportunity to ditch your life with all its problems and become this eternally young being who's free to do whatever. At face value, it's a good fit for a story where a shonen is... Well, running away from something. In other words, the theme of the story rhymes with the setting. Good creative choice.

Given how blood can be preserved and swiped from where it's stored, at best, there's a mild conflict of interest between humans and vampires & thus no real opportunity to be and act particularly evil. Rather, what eats at me is Nazuna's method of procuring her meals.

His family situation is just weird in general. Frankly, most characters were just completely unbothered and unphased by anything, so the absurdity drowns in the surrounding atmosphere.

Making the supernatural world mundane is a scored point as far as writing is concerned. Kou didn't really get the girl, couldn't even become a vampire, him risking his life was also ultimately for nothing. Sadly, the author played it completely straight. Rather than realizing, that fucking around with shady strangers at night isn't particularly wise thing to do... He became a magical detective. :DD From chuuni to cuuni x2.

Only they didn't add whimsy they said there was whimsy and mystery but then didn't add any of it. Its like writing a story about detectives except they never actually solve any cases or even use their detective skills to help solve problems, all they do is talk about their gf's friend.

Wished the author kept the detective as a vengeful person instead of neutering her. The series got so tame after the author made the detective stop going after vampires to kill.

I mean you could just admit you like the color scheme, the characters and night time setting and that them being vampires is pointless. Actually if anything, them being vampires makes it worse because it would be a lot more emotionally impactful if all the characters just chose to live their lives in the night.
