Man sometimes due to my utter contempt for alternate Yuki, due to just how often I see people come away with the opinion after watching the movie how she is Yukis "true self", I tend to neglect just how important she is in what she represents, that being the embodiment of how the original Yuki wished herself to be deep down, more emotional, more expressive, without any great responsibilities aside from attending school, and being close to Kyon, most likely she wanted to be close to the whole SoS brigade, but she put herself closest to Kyon for a reason, not even necessarily for love, but because she felt very close to him, in general alternate Yuki is THE embodiment of original Yukis desire to live a normal life, in the sense of that she represents 90% of the change that embodies this wish, and as such understanding alternate Yuki in this context is absolutely crucial in order to properly understand the original Yuki, and her motives behind the creation of the alternate world.
