I consider it one of the best Romcoms I've ever read, though to be granted I've read only a few. Still, a really good manga.

First of all it's Jitsu wa watashi wa. Second of all, worst girl won, alien should've won, the typesetter is a shitstain. That is all.

Nothing like flexing your superiority as an animanga consoomer by knowing the longer, Japanese title of a series. I know the full title of Hyakkano but I'm not pathetic enough to go around bitching at people who call it "100 Girlfriends".

It's pretty good anon. The mangaka has done a few series since; his newest is still ongoing and is his best since JiWaWaWa.

Manga?
Top tier. Though the ending felt a bit of a mix of "rushed" and "mangaka didnt know what to do so just clusterfuck of time travel and other bullshit to wrap it up quickly".

Anime?
Meh it was ok. Like a 6/10 romcom but obviously it glances over a lot of the manga, leaves shit out, rushes shit and the execution wasnt that great. I think a different opening song would've made the difference.

The problem was this series came out in the early 2010s where it was common to dismiss series based on premise alone and if a few YouTubers or bloggers thought you show was bad you had no chance

8.5/10 with a 10/10 ending. It dragged on in just a few parts just slightly enough to affect the pacing but still is leagues above many of its contemporaries. The anime wasn't the worst thing ever but it lost an unbelievable amount of the charm of the manga. The principal and her granddaughter both being beaten/tamed by monks was really funny. My favorite recurring gag was the arrests.
