It’s funny because I never really gave yuri any mindshare until some point in the last 5 years or so, I was watching a show because that showed up for “isekai”, and the first episode was a troll that kills off the MC after essentially making fun of him the entire time. It actually made me burst out laughing because I thought it was a comedic bit. The show became boring very quickly after that so I dropped it, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other genre show such open contempt for other genres and it stuck with me since and I can’t help but see yuri as the “enemy”
