>the story sucks
>N-No it doesn't. It's the Japanese story structure which is definitely completely different from Aristotle's plot structure

This image is so retarded. This is literally just a basic progression of the story, both in the east and in the west. Every story ever made has a beginning where you introduce the characters, themes and concepts, rising action and development, climax and twist (twist may or may not happen), unwinding, and conclusion.

So-called "anime" here is just generic battle-shounen.

Anon. It is a joke. Not all American movies are about vampire soulmates opening croissant shops. All of those graphs are making fun of their respective subject in an overt and very obvious fashion.

Do you really think that normalfags would be able to "get" that joke for anime if their entire anime portfolio is just Dragon Ball, Naruto and BnHA? Liksewise not sure whether they'd "get" the joke about the Korean dramas, though that one is far more exaggerated and much less likely to have been watched, so while people's only impression is only this caricature about it, normalfags will already have a false impression of anime that actually confirms what they have seen already.

You should try American comics instead if manga makes you this angry

The difference is that kishotenketsu stories don't need to revolve around a central conflict so there's no real climax, instead there's the twist that recontextualize the story

>Fire Punch's story structure felt off
>Read up a bit on Fujimoto
>"I really like the story structure of Korean movies, in American cinema, a movie about a guy avenging his father would end with the main character avenging his father, but in a Korean movie, MC will avenge his father halfway through the story, and the film will go in an entirely different direction afterwards"
I get it now, it unironically resembles the K-drama plot more than American movies or manga
>Oh, the Ice Witch froze the entire world
