/tdc/ will be playing in the Divegrass Before Christmas 6 invitational this December after missing the invitational the past two years. Matches start on the 4th of December and I think they'll be streamed on the usual stream site but I need to confirm that. Pic related is the most recent roster although positions will likely change.
Look for a "Wasn't living the best /a/?" thread about toward the end of Melli.
I just hope to god I get some snow fall where I live, the scene needs it.

the thing about this image is that there wasnt really a rivalry against ping pong. it was just a bunch of loud newfags that hadn't even seen s1(even though we watched it on stream the year beforehand)complaining. they brought up comparisons to ping pong and gacha to hide that fact.

But Taiga isn't a tsundere. She was only "tsun" towards Ryuuji when her crush was on Kitamura (who she was never tsun towards), and stopped being "tsun" towards Ryuuji when she warmed up to him, before she was ever dere towards him. Tsundere is being tsun and dere towards the same person (love interest) for the same reason (crush), not going from purely tsun to purely dere towards someone, especially if you have an actual crush on someone else and aren't tsun towards them.

Eyeroll. Alright, see picrel? Both Shinji and Asuka are being tsundere here. Because they're insecure about their feelings for one another, they lash out at being teased for behaving like a couple. Tsundere amounts to a defense mechanism of masking your romantic feelings (dere), that you are insecure about (or else you wouldn't do this), with anger (tsun).

A tsundere is just a character whose initial coldness becomes love with respect to somebody. (Or in the case of the "modern" variation, there's an oscillation instead of a straightforward change.) But that's all there is to it: character development.
>>283546182
I'm using "cold" rather generically here to mean any negative emotional inclination, and in the case of a tsundere, that's a palatable dislike or opposition.
>>283546203
They both have their charms, in my opinion.
>>283544322
Maybe this year I’ll finally be able to watch along.
Where are the streams hosted? I vaguely remember a liveposting altchan but it’s been so long (shamiko?)
>>283547217
I'm not sure about Steins Gate either, but I think if chat could get through the first few episodes it'd be a fun Rollercoaster with so many memeable moments
>>283547464
The thing to remember is that kuudere are emotionally distant and indifferent, but most tsundere are anything but. So a archetypal kuudere will be coldly dismissive to their love interest whereas a tsundere will be confrontational and upfront. So while they both move to the same endpoint, where they start from and what path they take are quite different.
How do you guys stay up for this without struggling to get to sleep after? Once I miss my chance to sleep i can't get to bed and I hate it. Staying up is easy, trying to fall asleep at 4am is hard.
I've never been able to watch the main stream beyond Toradora because I'm not a NEET but I'm tempted to take all of December off to let myself do it this year
>>283553274 >jobs or families
the stream is a million hours a day so everyone can see at least a little of it with other people. only the truly fortunate can see all of it, but almost no one stays awake for everything
>>283553274
Barely anyone watches the whole thing every day.
I don't think I'll follow anything this year. It sucks even if you like the anime that's getting shown.
>>283553856
You can choose to watch 2 hours of the stream per day and get to complete 3-6 anime at the end of the month without missing any episode from these shows.
>>283554230 >Doesn't even have the decency to be so awful it's entertaining.
Bulllshit, that last episode is the standard for so bad it's good. A timeless classic comedy as far as i'm concerned.
>>283554302
It's just some retard's fetish fantasy. Every girl wants to bang him for no reason. Then he dies to the one he considers the "hottest one". It's the >god I wish that were me
anime but just annoying.
Next year we'll be doing a stream-plays Toradora VN where we put all the dialogue and activity choices up to a vote. VNDB says the VN takes about 24 hours to complete so it'll be 1 hour a day. Trust the plan

The tradition as a whole began on livestream in 2011. Another person known as FuckNo hopped in and hosted his own at midnights also on livestream in 2012. He moved to justin tv in 2013, and after a few nights began hosting it split on both justin tv and cytube. FuckNo had bad internet and stepped down in 2014, the stream was inherited by tsukari and the rest is history.
>>283544583
You've been fooled by the shitty modern tsundere archetype. Classic tsunderes were a gradual change from full tsun to full dere over the span of the series as the couple's relationship changed. They were never in love with each other from the start. There's a whole image showing how the archetype changed over the years. You should read more older romance series.
>>283556635
I'm not personally aware of any ustream channels but from what I remember there were more than a few copycat streams after the tradition took off, so it's totally possible.
>>283556635 >>283556900
Also you have to keep in mind that posting streams was just normal back then, and they were each their own microcommunity, so one of them could have hosted their own as well without advertising it.
>>283555654
A couple days forcing yourself to wake up early will make you naturally go to sleep early.
t. someone who goes to sleep at 6pm during melli.
>>283556217 >and the rest is history
can you expand on that? I was casual after 2014 but it wasn't until the pandemic did I learn that it had an informal prestream and ran super late before the prestream moved to witch. And when that happened it seems both exploded into two sequential 5 hour marathons, with pre running from 7 to 12 and the main event running from 12 to 5 and later
>>283556674
The only real difference between modern and classic tsunderes is that the first keeps some tsun by the end and the other doesn't. That image is more of a meme than anything.
>>283553274
I half-agree with you, i only watch the pre-stream because work (or rather, sleep to get to work in one piece) gets in the way, even considering the timezones. Unless you're this anon >>283551348
Also i tend to omit the shows that simply do not interest me. El Cazador de la Bruja can go suck a dick, what a bore
>>283558495
Nah, a lot of places are desperate for a half decent night shift. Most of them are do nothing jobs because if they actually have expectations for the shift they end up quitting and getting a day job. I specifically work at a hotel but I hear a lot of night shift jobs are pretty much the same. I do have to chase off hobos every once in awhile though.
>>283555072
I've watched melli on my deck every year
the idolmaster snow spam uses like 40% of the cpu at the highest setting and the page doesn't play the video properly
>>283559022 >Sir, '13 Merry.mp3' is about to play. >Where is anon? >In the security room, sir. He just added MELLI KURISUMASU x15 to his clipboard >send the hobo
