How would you “fix” Boruto and u can’t just say scrap it and give it the dragon ball gt treatment?

Boruto should have been like a thousand years after Naruto in a more modern era. The stories of Naruto & Sasuke should have been stuff of legends similar to Indra/ Ashura. Boruto could be a descendant of Naruto, but I think he shouldn't know much about his ancestor.

The setting is very lacking and got increasingly turned into "battle shounen land" as time went on, killing the potential for loads of interesting story telling
And the power scaling and the stuff that was introduced because of it are also just not great
Naruto was genuinely better when Kakashi's power at the beginning of the series looked like it was actually worthy of being legendary, rather than having him get overshadowed by every single antagonist and new ally with increasingly more absurd and story warping abilities
And then the fact that Boruto is inherently dependent on the relationships formed in Naruto means that it would be better if Sakura and Sasuke weren't a trash couple and if Hinata had more... anything

Have him time-travel back to day 1 and then somehow he dies and we reset.
Aliens fuck off for good, no more Kara either.
He's no longer a zoomer brat, but just a little arrogant and a spaz.
Leaf isn't nearly as industrious anymore, just a bit more advanced than part 2.
Naruto is struggling with his role as a hokage, and the leaf boomers are getting nervous.
The ripple effects cause Bort not to resent Naruto, but the structure and village in general, which causes conflict between them.
He still wants to become a ninja because he idolizes Naruto, but he's also forcing it a bit because the passion isn't all there.
After becoming a genin, the series would emphasize the leaf a little less at first by exploring and fleshing out the world.

make it into a series of novels instead of a monthly manga, to pick up the pacing a bit. i like the characters and world building enough, but like >>283538235 said, it should take place further in the future to distance itself from the original series, and get the new characters out of the shadows from the old.

It's another chance to do Naruto part 1 over again without making the mistakes Naruto eventually did. So delve deeper into the ninja world, give some focus to beloved side characters, keep power scaling on the lower end, use more clever ninja tactics, less ocular jutsu, basically do the opposite of what I've heard Boruto eventually ended up doing. I did hear part 1 Boruto had a lot of comfy Konoha slice of life moments similar to part 1 Naruto, but not sure how much of that was filler.

A guy who always protected her, saved her life, hung out with her, liked her in spite of her flaws, always came through for her and others, showed himself to be a stand up guy who fights to protect and has the strength to match vs a guy who always disliked her, insulted her, tried to kill her and her friends, multiple times at that.

Also it's funny, what reasons does she even have to like Sasuke? She started it because all the other girls did and he never gave her any attention. Then they got on the same team and he'd always insult her. Then he defected and the only times she'd see him afterwards is when he tries to kill her. I get liking bad boys and all but this is borderline retard territory.

Well I've been rereading Naruto and the First 2 arcs of Shippuden are definitely full of bait and obvious trolling from kishimoto's side. Like he purposefully wrote scenes that in retrospect went nowhere, we have Sakura even blushing for Naruto when she thought he matured ( Sakura literally never blushed to anyone but Sasuke before) meaning Naruto is actually on her radar as a hot guy it's just that his personality was too childish for her liking and you have some other ones like Yamato implying that she loves Naruto etc..-
