No. AI works by producing a result that it believes is statistically what you prompted it to. This means it's searching through its massive database and giving you the average of what it thinks you're asking for. This is why it can't be interesting. It has no creative goal or direction outside of fulfilling the prompt it was given. It cannot produce anything meaningful or say anything of substance, because again that's not it's goal. It's goal is to fulfill your prompt using averages of material in its database.

When people talk about the creative process behind writing or filming or whatever, they're referring to the hundreds, if not thousands depending on the media being made, of decisions made during the creative process, from something as innocuous as "what should the color in this background be?" to plot changing like "how do i end the story to have the biggest impact?" These hundreds or thousands of questions is what gives an author their "voice", sometimes referred to as Auteur Theory. It is that identifying mark that makes audiences say they can recognize something created by a particular writer or director.

An AI doesn't ask those kinds of creative questions. It only asks what is statistically the most likely thing the person prompting it is asking for. This is why it's always middle of the road boring garbage. This is without even mentioning that AI is so scared to offend anyone it's unwilling to take a hard stance on anything or put anything too extreme into anything it makes.

He's also legitimately talented with it comes to illustrating action sequences. His fights are extremely easy to read and flow wonderfully from panel to panel. There's a reason the webcomic version of Saitama vs Garou is held in such high regard, and it isn't just because it's better than the manga. It's a really fucking fun fight to read. I don't believe even for a second that AI can be trained to understand what makes a good action sequence on a page of manga when even highly skilled professionals struggle to understand it.

Though to answer OPs question. In theory yes you could make a Manga using all AI. The issue is a human still has to compose the panels and order them in a way that makes sense. Meaning it still requires human creativity to do what you propose.

Going against the tide here; I don't see why not in like 10 years.
My director friend (who's on IMDb btw) and I agreed that while sure, the stuff being outputted now is not valueable, or particularly useful unless used as a vague reference, who knows what can happen later on. Ranting against advancement is probably not a good idea. Digipaint animation/comics made in the 90s or 2000s photoshops is...rough, and people got their panties in a twist over these as well. The flaws would most likely be ironed out eventually. I don't think you could make an entire manga with prompting, as you'd need to be hands on in some degree, but artists could certainly use it for their advantage, moreso in the future. This is coming from a retrofag.

AI is unable to produce consistent results so it can´t be properly used for anything that requires continuity. Furthermore the user has little control on the actual output. This is not an issue for those goofing around that would settle with a result that is close enough to what they are looking for but it becomes an issue if one is aiming for a specific result.

Personally i have no interest in AI generated imagery. Art is cultural expression and communication, i have no interest on what a bot has to say. Not now anyways, maybe once machines become self aware and burn humanity to the ground on the day of the judgment i´ll be ready to welcome our new overlords.

I think it stems from not having a good grasp of what's set in stone versus what's actually changeable. For example the anti-technologists became bolder after the failures of NFTs, metaverse, crypto currencies, and the thousand things Elon promised. But they don't seem to be smart enough to realize when they're being scammed vs witnessing a tech that's actually useful. Any tech that compresses TIME spent doing something is a tech that sticks around, because time is the most valuable resource in the universe. It's that simple.

1) You would need an workflow using multiple different AIs and programs at the same time
2) It would take a lot of time and repeated attemps to get most things right
3) You would need competent people to set up the architecture of the sofware/hardware/workflow
4) The result would probably still wouldn't be very good
5) It likely would cost more in time and resources than what humans can do now.

I still would read it out of curiosity to see how well it handles it.

I think intent is a big one for me. One of my favourite things in any media is ideas or themes beyond the literal events on the page. Sometimes they're not even deliberate, they're just reflections of where the author's head is at. LLM or image gen slop is incapable of that, because it's incapable of a deliberate decision. At most a human may try and curate their selection, but you wouldn't ever confuse curation for consistent throughlines in creation.

I think the worst irony of this is that they're coming for creative fields because it's much easier to fudge the acceptability of output for things where standards are inherently less objective. Neural net technology is genuinely super useful for a lot of things, it's been around for ages in things we don't or didn't used to call 'AI', but a general purpose LLM fucking up a data entry job and tanking your company's tech backend is much easier to call out as useless than one outputting a truly worthless short story that still resembles a functional short story.

In some invisible ways it's already here. Smart corporations are trying to implement it into their workflow in ways that most people won't notice. In films, some film studios are using them to create concept art, because you can claim that the final result is several steps removed from that AI generated art. Also, they don't have to hire concept artists. Film/video editing is also seeing AI use.

But to the average person, they don't know the ins and outs of the production process, so they won't know this is happening.

Right now there's also a lot of top-down pressure to use The New Thing in the hopes it'll save time and money. We'll see how much of that sticks longer term. Most attempts to gather data on AI integration suggest it isn't particularly useful in practice, because any convenience or utility is offset by having to tard wrangle it and fix output.

One of the ways I know it's being used is helping with footage cataloging and tagging. This is a job usually given to people like assistant editors, since they're job is to sort and prepare footage for the main editors. This is a tedious, time-consuming and ultimately boring task, that still has to be done. An AI being used here to search for keywords or sort through existing tags, is great.

Big caveat though, because it's sorting through hours of footage for you, you won't know if it's actually made a mistake or not, unless you've sorted through that footage yourself too. You're just taking its word that it's sorted and tagged everything correctly. Hilarious stuff.
