Random question, if you were reborn into an isekai mmo world, you didn’t know the genre, aesthetic, or classes but knew it behaved like an mmo and you also got reincarnated with a sizeable group of people (let’s say enough to fill a typical main city in an mmo) what would you do?

Let’s say it’s a typical jrpg mmo isekai world this time, it has pvp zones, dungeons, raids, a “demon king” (which doesn’t end the game when he’s defeated), but also was breakable like old shitty ass 2000s mmos. Let’s also say there’s an attractive “goddess” acting like the GM that can punish you for being too egregious

If it's a very complex system I'm fucked because I have never played an MMO and I'm a fucking retard with a short attention span, I Imagine the closest thing is something like SMT4 or FF XIII, If that's the case I could probably survive at the very least.

Is there like a level or experience cap?
If not I think the best option would just be grinding on low level mobs in safe areas for several months until I’m OP so there’s little risk to myself. It seems like something that might takes years at first, but people have done leveling challenges in RPGs where they grind from 1-99 or whatever the cap is before leaving the starting area and most of the time it can be done in less than a year grinding about 7-8 hours a day, which is the same as working a job.

Also let me clarify, you are reincarnating each time into an Isekai with the same people. You can change your appearance and name to hide who you are on subsequent world reincarnations

If it actually works like an MMO, then it would take only a single week before someone finds a way to meta the entire game.

Real life right now has a meta too, but things are equalized by the fact that time is the great equalizer. Nothing stays the same. What works now may not work the same in 10 years

If you are not willing to create a world with a great equalizer, then the logical conclusion of your world is simply stagnation

That’s partly the point. I was thinking about how crafters in ffxiv will plan months/years ahead for expac releases to make bank on. I thought “wouldn't it be interesting for people to metagame an isekai world? And then the consequences of their actions follow them into the next reincarnated world because people remember the relationships but have to approach everything with a new meta in mind? And since you can change your name and appearence, it becomes a social deduction game on whether your friends or guildmates are who they say they are on reincarnation?”

what even counts as pvp and what method of protection is in non-pvp? restriction on spells/skills damage? instantly summoned guardians? absolute invulnerability?
can rube goldberg traps deal damage? drowning? crushing under toppled building with tons of rock on the roof? teleportation coordinate "accidents"?
and if neither can deal damage, is there /unstuck or would someone buriend 10 meters deep under the town square starve to death or live long after his brain stops thinking?

Just make it Disgaea and have everyone start out as prinnies. And when they build up enough power and wealth they can create their own netherworlds with the catch that if it doesn't have enough players inhabiting it, then it just poofs out of existence after a while.

MMO? As in npc will give you quests if you interact with them? Then I will deepen my relationship with those NPCs by teaching them to scam other reincarnators. You know how NPCs in mmo usually give you some weird shit like a stone with no clear purpose, a key that will open some door, etc? I will tell NPCs that they can scam the fuck out of other isekai reincarnators by giving out useless but seemingly meaningful items in exchange for services
