In this case, Doppo appeared to be imitating Musashi. This is actual, legitimate progress for Doppo as a fighter. Not much is happening here but it makes us ask legitimate questions beyond "oh boy I wonder what's in the latest mystery box" like Kengan does. Ohma shows how "strong" he is by doing nothing interesting or special, he just punched his foe as he approached. The tattoo depicts the Standing Man. Long ago, a man came to the house of the Hanayama family looking for food and shelter. Suddenly, a rival family came in to kill every single person of the family. He was found a little bit later by the people that were sent to kill them. They asked the man to put the bell down to let them see inside, which he refused. The man refused, to which the assassins started to cut him down. But even during this furious attack, the man did not yield and kept standing his ground. As a token of sheer respect, the Hanayama honors the Standing Man by putting a tattoo of him on their body. Kaoru eventually got his, but was unsatisfied with it, saying it was missing something. He then went out to fight a rivaling family, and the cuts he got on his body that day made the tattoo feel truly complete, as that was how the Standing Man ended up.

I think Yujiro's actions make perfect sense if you project Baki's onto him and use the final fight as an example. Yujiro just wants to explress his emotions and have a totally normal relationship with someone, but he can't because he's too strong.
Baki just wanted to have an argument with his father, Yujiro also wanted the same thing, He just wanted to play with his son, he just wanted to hug his wife. But he got frustrated because of Baki's weakness, almost killed him by being too rough. When he killed Emi he used all of his strength to crush her, both her and Baki seemed to have seen or understood him as just giving her a hug even though it killed her.
He calmed down and left afterwards out of a mixture of regret and satisfaction. He got what he wanted, his emotional satisfaction of having gone all out, but also destroyed something irreplacable in the process and felt actual loss because of it.
