There is nothing inherently wrong with slavery.
The reason people think it's wrong is because they have made up scenarios in their head to create reasons to view it as wrong.
>Oh, these poor innocent people were just living their lives, harming no one and keeping completely to themselves only to be kidnapped for no reason
Tell them
>This elf has been enslaved for cannibalism, child rape, child murder, and ritual sacrifice and will be forced to work to pay back the families of the children whose lives she took in lieu of execution
And suddenly slavery isn't so wrong.
Doesn't help that Isekai just set up slave girls as low hanging fruit for harem building.
Why would they be trying to market beautiful young virgins to random peasants walking the streets? The peasants have to settle for buying the ugly girls, the pretty girls would already have noble buyers before even being enslaved and a smart slaver wouldn't even allow them to be unrestrained or even seen.
Shield Hero is a more realistic example of how a slave market would operate.
Me? I'd probably try to buy men. But I'd ask the reason for their enslavement, don't want any rapists, drug addicts, or murderers on my plantation. If they're smart they'd know to just work and wait for an opportunity to escape, By that point I would have a good grasp of their nature and negotiate a work contract for the productive ones in exchange for emancipation. As for the stupid ones, it depends on what they attempt. Fail to kill me and I kill them where they stand, once an attempt on your life is made, then there is no room for negotiation or mercy. If they escape and get captured again, I'm not taking them back, they can try their luck with a new owner since I don't have the leeway to worry about flight risks. Slaves that refuse to work or just do a very sloppy job? I'm getting a refund or sell them to someone else, by now they would've heard from the productive slaves about the emancipation offer I made.
