I never been to Japan so maybe miso is not authentic here, but this is such a niche food I would expect the target consumers to be nerds, and the recipe to be at least somewhat accurate. And I am really not a fan of miso soup sold here, I'd take blood sausage over it any time.
Now I'm actually curious, is blood sausage with rice a local invention, or do brits make that too? Here it's considered a blood sausage for kids, it has milder taste and looks more ordinary.
