I don't know, I feel like that was more a neutral flashback by Gege for the readers rather than Yuji truly remembering. Maybe he thought he dreamed it or doesn't even remember "dreaming" that scene since he never brings it up. He probably knows his connection to Sukuna is more complicated than everyone else believed, but again, he never talks about it, he never really stops to wonder how and why. I like Yuji, but Gege could have fleshed his dilemma a bit better instead of simply relying on traumatized reactions like "I should die", "I'm just a cog" and "I am willing to eat anything if it means stopping Sukuna".

I don't think Yuji is married. He carries a curse greater than the one his gramps gave him. The curse of being popular due to fujobait.
There are other shounen protags with it, but their heteroships still have some traction. Sasunaru is obviously popular, but so were Sakura/Sasuke, and Hinata/Naruto. Bleach was a rare case of hetero ship wars. And things like MHA at least have the LEAD female as the potential love interest.
There's absolutely no way Gege will confirm that a literal who character ends with his MC. He could hint things as long as he keeps it open and ambigous, but the confirmation is risky.
Look at the anime promo exclusively pushing guys. This is a fujobait show. The VAs talk about Megumi's and Yuji's new intimacy too.

He can give them harmless pseudo one sided love interests to give a wink at boys and non fujos readers, but he'll never risk his money well to empty. The established Yuta/Maki also keep Zenin and Gojo blood continuation, so he could have Gojo not having a surprise hidden kid, thus continue to exploit him for the fujos too. It was a pairing that helped Gege to keep his goldmine.
