The list of mecha shows I feel obligated to watch are all to do with Super Robot Wars and/or whatever the voices in my head command me to do.
As I said in earlier threads, I read Getter Robo Go and Shin Getter Robo just so I could get the full context of ONE of Getter Dragon's attacks that wasn't featured in the anime, despite how nothing else in Z1's story correlates with the post-70s Getter Robo franchise. I also watched all of Majestic Prince and finally watched the movie yesterday because I felt like the SomethingAwful LP for SRW30 was taking a bizarre amount of offense to a show that didn't look any more offensive than Gundam Seed or Code Geass.
And then because my brain is truly broken, I watched all of Aura Battler Dunbine and its OVAs despite finding the whole damn franchise to be shit because they said it was the origin of isekai light novels when bitching about Knight's & Magic. Lucky for me that show was already on my list because I still don't understand how Tomino could have made a show as good as Turn A Gundam when he spent so much of Zeta, CCA and Victory demanding the immediate eradication of all human life for the sin of being alive.
