Maybe I remember it wrong, but I'm pretty sure in the German manga version they didn't call it Marijuana but instead it was left uncertain, just some mysterious drug. Made the whole thing a lot more believable and creepy. The whole case, but especially that page actuaklly haunted me for a while, but looking at it now it's just seems so ridiculous.

great case always wondered why these detectives don't show up anymore. I think this is the last cel drawn anime episode? Not sure but shortly after this the anime is kinda downhill in terms of quality. Still fun but not as good.
