>How did iconic shows like Sailor Moon tailored toward women turn into a site of male fantasy like Cutie Honey.
How can you say this when cutie honey is 20 years older and you show the date (The date is incorrect based on the version of Cutie honey that is on screen but whatever)
Anime are less segmented into demographics due to just being on TV while manga are mostly in magazines that feature more than just manga, they have celeb gossip, model photos and interviews that more targeted towards those certain demographics. (Josei isn't pronounced that way)
Hot take but the idea that Cutie Honey is a mahou shoujo maybe should be pushed back on. She is completely in line with other transforming superhero stories both from western comics, other Go Nagai stuff like Devilman and super sentai Japanese media. (She is a robot and not magic in anyway too)
Creamy Mami isn't an innuendo, weird thing to say.
Reused animation is in no way a mahou shoujo thing, it is just an animation thing. (Not how you Pronounce Go Nagai)
Why not bring up the director of Utena and the fact he directed a bunch of Sailor moon? Why not bring up that he is a giant fag?
I skipped a bunch of boring bullshit.
She jumped from Cutie Honey (1973) to Creamy Mami (1983) to Sailor Moon (1992) to Utena (1997) to Madoka (2011) and assumed those 5 shows summed up an entire genre.
TLDR: Bad video premise and worse research.
