How come no one talks about Yu-Gi-Oh anymore?

Threads tend to decline in discussion when you repost them daily.

What is there to say about it? The original manga and anime ended a long time ago, and the wider multimedia franchise is dead or dying.

4Kids arguably ruined the series by heavily censoring and editing the show, including removing entire seasons. It doesn't help that they bought such a restrictive, exclusive license for it that banned anyone else from dubbing it. So you get stuff like GX being substantially different and ending too early, not to mention at points being poorly done enough that it turned people off and ruined its chance to take off. It doesn't help that it was already a niche concept.

If they actually wanted to revive the franchise they would make a remake of the original. Due a brief arc of the non card game episodes and insert a couple card games where there weren't. Make the characters use current cards and retrains of older archetypes. Would print infinite money.

There's no room for debate here. They definitely ruined it. Yugioh didn't catch on outside of Japan thanks to 4kids, it became popular in spite of 4kids.

Konami killed the anime and the studio that made it to shill for a new format that is only available in Japan, said game is aimed at a considerably younger audience, the game hasn't been good in years, Kaz is dead.
