I consider it to mark the endpoint of SHAFT's golden age. It was the last SHAFT show for nearly two years that wasn't a new season of Monogatari or Hidamari Sketch. After that point, you were lucky to get more than completely new SHAFT project per year.
Genuinely what happened in 2011 to make so many good and unique shows? Seems like the best projects started after 2008 financial crisis, with the slow-cooked ones coming out around 2011.
