It felt like Fujimoto massively underestimated how much a child dying indirectly because of you would fuck even the most hardened of men up. He made the effects of Nayuta's death on Denji like she was an adult Denji was friendly with, not a kid.

In a better-written story, Nayuta's murder would be a massive game changer for Denji's character. Having a child that he cared about dying because he wanted to be a hedonistic superhero should've not only broken him, but also caused him to re-examine everything about himself and his way of thinking.

Right now it sounds crazy but given how Yorus character has been constructed about the concepts of love and friendship, she might end up sacrificing herself for Asa. That would prove she understood love and really became a friend of Asa. Honestly that is the only non-pathetic ending I can think for Yorus character.

Yorus sacrifice, depending the context, may also motivate Asa to weaponize Denji, and with that power, avenge Yoru. But I wonder who can be a good enough villain to trigger all this... awakened Death maybe? Death 2? Devil Devil/God?

This series really needs a part 3. But I think the world is ending by the time part 2 gets closure.
My old bet is still up, Pochita is going to eat the concept of Devils, saving the world and Denji but pretty much erasing the entire history of devils in the process, changing everything back to our own boring normalcy. There's also the possibility that said sactifice still ends in terrible tragedy since doing that doesn't cure Denji of his mom's heart disease that he inherited, so he would still be dead by this point after a literal universal retcon because Pochita wouldn't be his heart and Denji would still have been too poor to afford a transplant, assuming that was even an option with that fictional condition.
