>Ashura: Main plotline, nicely choreographed fights, a few subplots that help develop the cast
>Omega: Subplots bro we need more subplots
I think Sandro must think having lots of subplots makes Omega seem deep and interesting, whereas none of the subplots really go anywhere important and take away from the fights, which is what was actually interesting about Ashura. Desperately needs an editor, but that's news to none of 'us'

>Say what you will but Niko is pretty enjoyable as Luohans unwilling friend
Luohan and Niko's relationship is such a fascinating thing and incredibly enjoyable, which is hilarious because Sandro is doing all of this unintentionally.
One thing you have to remember is that Luohan is the one who reached out to Tiger Niko to get him to defect, so they've known each other since they were kids and Luohan's probably his longest lasting relationship with another human being, unless you count people he hasn't seen in decades. But Tiger Niko being Tiger Niko, almost every time we see him hanging out with Luohan he thinks about how he can betray Luohan or use him, despite Luohan being nothing but incredibly nice to him and giving him basically every single opportunity he's ever had in his life, from rising up the ranks of the Worm and getting access to millions of orphans, to getting the Connector's memories.
However, despite Niko's inner desire to betray him he never actually does, even when Luohan is at his weakest and is literally crippled, instead opting to just wheel him around. Niko never talks about this contrast either, painting him as some sort of unaware loyal tsundere, which I would call an interesting dynamic if I wasn't aware of the fact that Sandro isn't consciously doing any of this and he'll probably have one of them betray the other suddenly.

And all because Luohan wanted Mukaku to help him rescue his clone brothers from getting their brains harvested. Why did Sandro want us to believe that's a bad thing? Not to mention, Luohan was still a kid, and a kid being raised in a personality cult at that. I think it’s exaggerated in the art to show off to emphasize physique/muscles, but isn’t it preferable to wear form fitting clothing if you’re active because it doesn’t restrict movement and also gives your opponent less things to grab onto? I always assumed that was why Agito wore his onesie in every match and why it was so impressive that Jurota could throw people even if they weren’t wearing a gi.
I’m asking out of genuine curiosity. I know very little about real life fighting.

It's the opposite, form-fitting clothing is restrictive. That's what it means to be form-fitting. It can strain blood flow, cause skin irritation, cause numbness, limit your range of movement and even cause difficulty breathing.

Form-fitting doesn’t mean “so tight you can see every vein”.
I’m not sure about easier to move in, but yes, you typically don’t want to be wearing clothing that’s too loose or flowing because if you’re fighting someone it does make them easier to grab onto you or in the case of a street fight or something some people will even intentionally try to pull your shirt/jacket over your head so you can’t see.
In a setting like this though there’s no real logic for it. Artists just like drawing guys in tight clothing because like you said it’s easier to emphasis their muscles that way.

Me. I always found it weird how Jean's character was just dropped at the end of KVP. We went years without a peep from this guy, that plot just didn't seem resolved. Now it's been revealed that the OG Nicolas survived and was a Wormfag, my thoughts on this are mixed. What character to you believe unironically got done the most dirty in the entire manga?
I’m going to go with Kaneda. Obviously he was never meant to be a heavy hitter, but it was cool that to cope with being objectively weaker than everyone else physically he had to study his opponent and developed his Predictions to give himself a fighting chance. And even then it had the downside of getting his ass beat until he could adapt.
And then like a dozen chapters later they just go “Oh yeah, every fighter worth a shit has Foresight and also they can use it without needing to get beat up first so you suck at the one thing you needed to develop to even give yourself a fighting chance.”

Sandro doesn't write flavorful styles or gimmicks anymore(or actual martial arts styles), it's either principle sorcery, generic striking, or facetanking and grabbing. So I assume we'll get option 2 here, the nerve strikes will be mostly ignored and Nicolas and Jean will have unfathomable "high level exchanges" of their limbs turning into blurry noodles with some observing side character claiming that we're looking at savate.

>And then like a dozen chapters later they just go “Oh yeah, every fighter worth a shit has Foresight and also they can use it without needing to get beat up first so you suck at the one thing you needed to develop to even give yourself a fighting chance.”
That's more of an Omega thing to be fair. In Ashura, it was basically just Kuroki and Agito, with Cosmo starting to learn a rudimentary version. Sen was a dodging specialist but even he wasn't said to have it(and he was stunned by Agito doing it).
Then in Omega it got shonen power system creep with more and more people having it until it just started to go without saying that anybody worth anything has it.

I did like when Kuroki approved of Rihito ignoring his training and going back to his roots because he was trying to hard to do something that he didn't have a fine grasp of. But really, Devil Lance is even more of a killing move with Rihito, not that that's ever been discussed I think

What bothers me about Razor’s Edge is that Sandro kept nerfing it to the point where even a shitty Indestructible can protect against it even though that makes no sense and it literally bypasses Indestructible in his first fight with Ohma, and that was before he improved it.
Like sure, maybe it was too strong narratively so walking it back a bit would be fine, but Kuroki is allowed to keep Devil’s Lance and it’s treated as something you can’t just defend against and also Rakshasa’s Palm still exists which is also GROSSLY overpowered. Can’t defend against it, causes a ton of damage even on glancing hits, can be used from pointblank with zero windup or preparation, and can bypass defenses to hit internal organs. It has absolutely no downsides.

Gotta be Tiger Niko if we're counting the entire Asura/Omega continuity.
I've seen people argue that his downfall isn't actually that bad but that's because they're looking at his recent blunders as if he's a normal character.
He's not a normal character, he's had the longest build up of any antagonist in the story. He is plot relevant. His enmity with Ohma is personal. He has history with a number of major characters including Agito, Fei, Eddie, Mukaku and every other member of the worm. Until Shen appeared people thought he was gonna be the final boss of omega.
A normal character beating Kiryu with some difficulty would be a feat for most of the cast but it's a detriment to Niko.
A normal character shitting bricks in Shen's presence is typical behavior but for Niko it makes him seem weak.

Anything that set him apart has been taken away from him, the only thing which keeps him relevant as a villain is whatever he activated at the end of his fight with Kiryu that let him win soon after.
I'm not saying he should have remained as he was, being glazed while dicking around with his hands in his pockets but we didn't have to go the complete opposite direction either.

Rakshasa's Palm is a schizo-aligned skill and as such meeting the requirements to learn it will result in the user obtaining a "degradation" type jobber aura, which means that the user will simply become weaker because of "insanity" or other non-sensical reasons unless have a KAT-legacy character tier boon to counteract it.

The only part I disagree with is people who think that having trouble with Kiryu was a disservice to him. People seem to forget that Kiryu was supposed to be a super prodigy that mastered an extremely difficult technique in like a few months when it was supposed to take years. And the only reason Kuroki was able to beat him so easily if because he had the advantage of personally knowing Kiryu’s master and the Koei style, so it’s like he went into the match with a cheat sheet. Same with Rei. Even then he still caught Kuroki off guard a few times during the match by using it in new ways and developing new techniques on the fly.
So I don’t blame him for having trouble with Kiryu. It’s just the way the fight played out made him like way more pathetic than it should have, but that’s just a symptom of how badly the writing and fight choreography has degraded in general.

It's also a consequence of Sandro completely giving up on showing over telling. Kiryu SHOULD have been on pace with Ohma/Raian into Omega, and if we assume that, then Tiger Niko having trouble makes a bit more sense. But Sandro completely avoided showing Kiryu fighting before that, never showed him training, anything.
It's also an issue of people being fatigued of every single major Sandro antagonist becoming a cocky retard who lets his guard down while quipping about food or video games, and getting predictably fucked for it.
And of course the issue of him seeming to have absolutely nothing to show from decades of experiments to push his style further and "all the data he needed" from Fei, besides an indian rug burn.

Yeah, I was sure that this was going to be the "villain demolishes/kills other villain with zero effort to show how strong they are" moments Sandro loves so much, but I guess he loves pointless Ohma wank even more than that.
But it's okay though, this fight came down to a razor thin margin when you think about it. 6 wasn't turned to liquid despite taking like three punches from Ohma, and if that nipple poke had landed... I shudder to think what could have happened to our hero.... the Worms are pulling out all the stops this time, to send combatants like him into the fray....

I have to disagree, Tiger Niko having trouble with Kiryu was a massive problem. I'm not saying that it can't theoretically work, but the situation we got was fucking awful. He shouldn't be pulling out pathetic little techniques, he shouldn't be freaking out when things aren't going his way, and this shouldn't be happening so early into the story when it's clear that there's no way that his plot thread is being resolved here.
If Tiger Niko was pulling off threatening techniques and he was simply having trouble trying to hit Setsuna with his instakill attacks instead of being on his back foot the entire time because he can't handle a fucking wine bottle in a tablecloth then it would've been fine.
Compare him to fucking Mukaku who had one of the most disgraceful and nonsensical showings in the manga. Even he was treated with more respect when he briefly faced off with the Kenganvengers. He was shown as a monster who was even a threat to Ohma, pulling off moves that he had never seen before and totally no selling a punch to the face. If Tiger Niko had even half that presence during his fight then no one would've had any issues with it.
