>One day Omega pretends to be Alpharia, reveals her lie while having sex with consort
>She blackmails consort and tells him to keep meeting her in secret or else she’ll tell Alpharia
>It’s bullshit, they’re both on it

>one day they do >>8841627 "the consort only have sex with one of them and then the other showed up with a Turkey baster after he had left the room just to ensure simultaneous fertilization from the same load"

>Upon finding out Magnolia would be a little bit scared but mostly curious how is it like
>She would use the fact that you shouldn’t strain yourself too much while pregnant as an excuse to lock herself up in library/lie in bed with a bunch of books and go on reading marathons like never before
>She would claim some mumbo jumbo about making the baby smarter by reading while pregnant (and given her nature who the hell knows, maybe she is right)
>Birth would be a little bit spooky given that she’s a powerful psyker, the “people in several square kilometers feeling birth contractions anguish” and/or “every woman in the city at the end of third trimester giving birth at the same time” type of spooky, but on the flipside everyone in the area would feel a sense of contentment once she has newborn in her arms
>Again, given psyker nature baby would feel very calm whenever she’s around without need to coo them, but would take her absence very badly
>She’s more excited about them showing first signs of psychic potential rather than usual milestones like taking first steps or saying first word
>She reads to them a lot, quickly teaches them how to read once they’re older
>By the time they are six they are proper nerdlet, extremely curious about world and all things mysterious and unknown

>Upon finding out Ferra would be annoyed – after all consort just dumped another important task on her head – but nevertheless would take pregnancy seriously
>She would run every test under the sun and monitor pregnancy constantly to make sure that everything is going smoothly and baby will be healthy
>During birth she grits her teeth and barely shows any signs of pain, she just grunts a bit as she would when lifting weights
>Whenever baby cries in her presence she just gives it a stern look and says “now is not the time for that” and it stops
>She tries to goad the baby into reaching first milestones ASAP, feels proud whenever it does
>She comes up with some fucking goo goo gaga training regiment that changes depending on how old the kid is and bids consort to oversee that kid will properly go through it, saying she’ll punish him if he lets it slack off
>By the time kid is six they are properly drilled, they see their mother as their sergeant and their father as their trainer

>Petra would be a nightmare
>Unsure how to handle pregnancy and too stubborn to admit that she has to accommodate for it, she would keep acting as if nothing changed, consort would have to often tardwrangle her into not straining herself too much
>Of course, her first reaction would be to see it as him pitying/diminishing her and so she would lash out at him, because of that they would butt heads non stop during her pregnancy
>Only consort and few highly advanced servitors/automata that she made and programmed as orderlies herself would be present during birth as she’s too insecure to let anyone else see her like this
>Classic stuff like yelling “I’M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU” + grabbing the culprit of the pregnancy by the collar as the birth contractions hit, nevertheless consort bravely stays close
>She determined rigid schedule for breastfeeding, often gets frustrated with the way baby is acting, sometimes consort has to remind her that it’s just a toddler
>She mostly leaves child rearing to consort and aforementioned servitors/automata as she doesn’t know how to handle it
>As they grow, unsure how to show affection she meticulously crafts various elaborate construction sets, DIY kits, moving/remote toys etc. and hands them over to consort to give to the child
>Sometimes when the kid is playing with those she sits next to them and prompts/guides them on how to do various things, they sit like that and just vibe together without speaking much for hours, it’s kind of endearing
>By the time they are six the kid is a lot like like Petra used to be before she grew bitter, to them consort is like maternal figure that is loving but doesn’t understand them, meanwhile Petra is like paternal figure that understands them but is distant

>Though she usually only finishes one given project by the time she comes to term since she isn't allowed in the forge for the child's sake.
>The opposite is true of the kitchen, it is doubtful even the combined effort of the gods could stop her from plating her latest concept, her water could break while she was cooking and she'd still only barely pause for her contractions.

(I am assuming Malcador is her consort)
>Empress knows she’s pregnant the moment sperm makes contact with the egg
>For the sake of safety and convenience she considers removing zygote from her body and having it grow in a tube similar to how her primarch daughters did but Malcador talks her out of it
>At that point she isn’t taking actively participating in great crusade anyway so she doesn’t have much trouble keeping pregnancy a secret, that being said some of her daughters suspect/know what’s up anyway (Magnolia senses it, Alpharia/Omega find out via their intel etc.)
>She has planned in advance the exact date when she wants to give birth, when it comes around she travels with Malcador and squad of custodes to Imperial science/military facility on some empty planet in a desolate system
>Malcador jokes about it but understands reason for such precautions
>Remember when I said Magnolia giving birth would be a little bit spooky given her powerful psyker nature? Imagine this but 10x worse and planet-wide, think Alma giving birth in F.E.A.R. 3
>After the deed is done the facility is in shambles and security detail is desperately dealing with personnel that has gone insane, but Empress and the baby are in top condition

>Baby walks and says first words day after they are born, as it grows it exhibits some bullshit Yuujiro Hanma feats much to Empresses amusement
>As they grow older she generally treats the kid up similar as she would treat her primarch daughters, for better or worse
>By the time they are six they are already a whole lot of trouble – analogous to how their mother used to be when she was a (relatively) young being, they are starting to go through their “Conan the Barbarian”/young warlord phase
>They respect their mother and their father, and have some honor code of their own, but otherwise go by “whoever can’t stop me from doing what I want to do can go shove it” logic
>Malcador hopes that with his guidance it will take them mere decades rather than hundreds or thousands of years to grow out of this

>Be Consort of the Alpha Legion(best way to describe it at this point)
>Wake up from near stroke. Can't remember if I knocked up Alpharia or Omega, or both. They could be pulling another prank.
>Neither confirms or denies that they are pregnant.
>Doing normal chores one day, Omega pulls me aside saying the hormones are making her go baby crazy.
>After blindfolded lovemaking she says she's going on a secret infiltration mission. Won't be back for a few days. Wish her the best.
>See Omega off. Alpharia corners me after she leaves. Needs me to "help calm down" Wanted to wait until Alpharia Leaves.
>Wants to do it in armor. The mask stays on. I could swear I saw a legionnaire watching from the shadows.
>Next few days are the same. Alpharia and or Omega pull me aside. Lovemaking is either blindfolded or in full armor. Anywhere at anytime. Could swear I saw Omega walking by through a crack in the door. Hear Alpharia in a meeting while boning in a closet in the same room.
>Omega returns from mission. Calls herself Omega during the return Snu-Snu. I dont think this one is either of them.
> Faces and Voices blur. Personhood is nothing to me now. Time is meaningless.
>Wake up one morning next to Alpharia. She's putting on armor thats been modified for her baby bump. Walk into hall. Every last Alpha Legionnaire has the same armor. They all turn and look at me simultaneously
>Pass out on the spot. Hydra Dominatus.

I forgot to copy over 1 part of my story..
After Omega returns

>Months go by. It has been nonstop assault on my body and psyche. Can't tell who is who. Alpharia and Omegon haven't shown their face or used their regular voices during our constant sexcapades for weeks. The threesome with 2 Omegas and someone else who wouldn't say whothey were was an interesting highlight.

>Caught multiple times by Alpharia and Omega with the other. Or was it not either catching me with not either? Whenever I ask They say it was themselves who I slept with, or the other, depending on who I ask.

>Get word that some other legions are coming by for a brief stay. Thank The Emperor, normal, non sexual contact.

>Dark Angels, Luna Wolves, and Word Bearers Legion arrive.

>Its nice to see the twins interacting with their sisters.

>Try to strike up a conversation with the Lioness's Consort. Feel a sort of kindred spirit with the quiet man. As I approach a Dark Angel cuts me off and escorts me away.

>She removes her helmet...It's Alpharia. She's been undercover for years and has missed me for some time.

>Mind snaps during the ensuing pelvic destroying Lovemaking.

>Freya Russ would be incredibly joyful upon finding out but also a bit annoyed because it would hamper her usual “fierce” lifestyle for a while
>During pregnancy she would get even more possessive and randy towards consort, the pelvis abuse has just begun
>Considering her penchant for feasts, the fact that she can’t drink mead during pregnancy and how people tend to cope with food when they can’t use stimulants - she would get ungodly pregnancy cravings, whenever no one is looking she would eat anything that’s edible and doesn’t move (consort would wonder why are there bite marks on random objects and who keeps stripping decorative plants bare of their leaves)
>Birth is done traditionally in some hut with barely any accommodations (a fact that Freya is very proud of) with all Fenrisian customs taken care of, but is otherwise uneventful
>Much to her embarrassment she finds out that during pregnancy she has managed to put some weight on in spite of her primarch physiology but she quickly loses it after fully recovering
>Never caring before to find out and not having much of a reference as to how does one look out after a baby other than having been raised by the wolves herself, she is taking care of it a lot like how wolf takes care its pup – quite weird at times, but the baby seems to be content with it so consort doesn’t intervene
>As they grow older raising them becomes a bit of a collaborative effort, Freya would regularly take them outside either herself or in company of Space Wolves and teach them how to hunt
>The kid is very lively and energetic and oftentimes consort can barely keep up with it, Space Wolves give him hearty pats on the back and laugh about it whenever they see it
>By the time they are six the kid is eager to go out there and earn stories that would rival those about their mother

While I like the gas-lighting that comes with Alpharia and Omega I do think it would be funny if the consort is the only person who can tell who's who and can tell them apart from all the others. He's not special in any way, it's just something he can do innately.

Another of the primarchs comes to speak with Alpharia but just stands there trying to pick her out of all the other marines, the consort walks up, greets them, learns that they want to talk with Alpharia and they just go "Oh I'll fetch her for you." and wades out into the sea of identical looking marines and brings back one of them.

Combine the two. A and O keep to engage in overly elaborate plots to trick or gaslight their beloved, but he just shrugs it off, ignores it or does not even notice the attempts. They're not even doing it out of malice or anything, it's just that they try to prove that they can. And not being able to makes them extremely pouty (and they look very cute when they're pouty).

Was brainstorming some ideas for Hathor (my beloved) will probably be in multiple parts
>The news of Hathor's pregnancy would be fairly known throughout the Imperium, lacking much of any real privacy, much to the annoyance of both her and her Consort (fucking remembrancers), but such is the cost of hers and the 16th legions fame in the Imperium
>The Luna Wolves and Mournival especially are beyond estatic though and pulling overtime to ensure as much pressure is taken off Hathor and her consort as possible. While the "Daughters of Hathor" was always an unofficial moniker for the gene-daughers that resembled Hathor, the legion holds the coming of the first "true" daughter of Hathor as a lovely omen.
>Hathor herself on the surface seems to be no different, she is still the Hathor Lupercal everyone loves, brilliant spokesperson, commander, etc... but her consort all to well knows that she is stressing over if she faltering in her duties to her mother and the Imperium as a whole during this time.
>As for her child, in public she earnestly expresses her excitement to all who ask, her smile infectious, yet a select few know she harbor fears of how her child could turn out, fearing that she may be the biggest negative element her child could have, not only as a mother who already shoulders massive responsibility, but by elements of her own empress borne genetics

So what happens to all of the Consorts during the Heresy? Do they all start dying left and right, or get lost in the Warp

Most survive into the Age of Apostasy in whatever leadership roles they can find for themselves, but fail to explicitly prevent it due to chaos being chaos.
A few of them band up together and go on an epic (dubiously armored) adventure to save the Imperium from itself by disguising themselves among the proto Fraternis, inspiring the organization into the choir boys with guns of the modern imperium. From there most retire into hiding because saving the whole of humanity from itself every other week is exhausting like few things ever could be.
Still doing what they can to keep everything from crashing of course, just not with the whole imperium watching them.

>Lioness
Her consort secluded herself away with the Lioness after she was interred in the Rock. Eventually died of old age, leaving a note for the Lioness that she read when she awoke.

>Fulgria
The Consort became more and more estranged from her, slipping into his own version of debauchery. They have long since drifted apart and are now almost rivals.

>Pert
He was very ride or die with her, and just wants her to be happy. Is still with her and tries to make her smile, but this is an impossible task.

>The Khagan
He died on Terra, fighting during the Siege. When she was injured against Mortaria, he thought her dead and commanded a bunch of Solar Auxilia troops during the rearguard action of a group of white scars. Most of the Astartes were able to retreat but he died trying to ensure the survival of as many of his "daughters" as possible.

>Freya
Survived the heresy, and was left on Fenris as she went into the eye. Eventually died of old age. Is constantly talked about by Bera.

>Regina
Also died during the Siege. Made the curt and tactical choice that as many of the Astartes had to survive as long as possible, so argued with Regina that he should take the field command of part of the human defenders. She eventually agreed and while she helped storm the vengeful sprit, he sold his life defending the last line of the palace.

>Konnie
Killed himself after her death. He could not save her, and so he felt responsible for her end.

>Sangunia
Survived the Heresy. Watched over her tomb on Baal in his own golden armour. Decades later he was found slumped over her resting place, power spear still in hand. He was entombed beside her.

>Ferra
Went MIA, presumed KIA. Survived the drop site massacre. Led a group of his "daughters" in brutal retribution against the traitors. The last known location of him and his "daughters" was them attacking the traitors retreating from Terra. No trace of them was found during the Scouring.

>Furia
Died on the fields of Istvaan, trying to administer medical aid to one of his Loyalist Daughters. Was cut down by Khayin.

>Roberta
Similar to Sangunia's and the lioness' consuls. Survived the Heresy and continued to govern Macragge until his death. Would often visit Roberta's body in statis and left her thousands of notes that she read when she re-awoke.

>Mortaria
Was taken by Nurgle and spared the Legions corruption as part of a deal between Moratia and Nurgle. Is in suspended animation somewhere in the Garden.

>Magni
Survived the Heresy. Was abandoned on Prospero as Tzeentch didn't care to save him and joined up with the Scars and the Knights Errant. Went to Titan to help establish the Knights Errant. Would often be found weeping in his sleep. Passed away after tutoring the first generation of Grey Knight librarians.

>Isis
Died on the Vengeful spirit saving the Empress. Was a loyalist and kept trying to bring Isis back from Chaos corruption. Got blasted apart by Isis when she stood between her and her mother.

>Lorgara
Was sacrificed to by Ereba as the last soul to fuel Lorgara's ascension to Daemonhood. His body is kept in perfect condition on an alter in the Eye of Terra and is used by the Chaos Gods to get Lorgara to do stuff as they keep promising to bring him back to life after she has pleased them.

>Vesuvia
Survived the Heresy, and was left on Nocturne. Helped rebuild the chapter but never saw her again after the Drop Site Massacre.

>Corva
Was left on Deliverance after Corva left to go into the eye. Disappeared himself a few years later as he took his own ship to follow her.

Most have something along those lines.
Mortaria's is a vegetable both figuratively and literally
Magna's is either somewhere in tzeentch's labyrinth or helping the imperial populous
Fulgrima's is sealed in a dildo
Petra's is a living saint but she has clones of him
Isis' can't be proven to exsist as more than a collective hallucination (the gods did this)
And Furia's had his skull turned into a relic that makes world eaters cry when they look at it

It's very interesting, because now we can engage the concept of everything is canon but not everything being true.

Like how in this new concept, Sanguinia's consort dies beside her tomb, but if he really can reincarnate he could still be there for the age of Apostasy.

Or how before it was said that Lorgara's consort was burned at the stake on Monarchia and becomes a question of if he somehow survived the tragedy or had if what the gods use to tempt her around has always been some hollow imitation of him. It gives us the slim chance even that the real him did survive the burning, that such was even the empress' intention, as through it he realized the truth of chaos, but he was left so changed after the event, that Lorgara couldn't recognize him at all. So no matter how far he reached out to her, no matter how many of his daughters he could turn away from the horrible fate they were going to doom themselves and all of humanity to he couldn't ever stop her. Probably because of Eraba still.

It gives some more to dwell on and ask about what really happened to all of them between the heresy and the modern imperium, like how many actually survive in some way, how many actually die during or after the heresy, and if they were also beings made by the empress or just natural people from across the galaxy.

Just read them all.
Very nice writing and liked them. The Lioness' and Roberta's leaving them final letters has that melancholic but nice closure feel.
But I think one about Sanguinia's consort is my favorite. The description of him finally dying of old age peacefully but still guarding tomb of his eternal love brings in mind old paintings like the one with God and Adam reaching out to one another. Like I could see it in that form very easily.

I wasn't really thinking about previously written stuff and just put down what I thought would be fitting ends that tied them into their Primarchs, though I do like some of the stuff that was previously written like Furia's consort getting killed on Istvaan and she keeps his skull, so I used that as the basis for what I wrote.

You're very welcome.
You've done a good job of communicating that in a very unique and interesting manner. That fact that there is a small amount You've pulled from others though I feel still supports the canon ≠ true concept very well, It builds up more concrete events that the others feel more dubious or genuine around by proxy.

>The Consort of the IXth sat in the dust and dirt, head resting against a barricade.
>Well... "Barricade" was a charitable word for it. It was simply a pillar that had collapsed onto part of the road into the inner palace that a squad of Terran Militia had fortified with empty ammunition boxes and scraps of barbed wire.
>Around him wounded, starved, bloody men and women of the Terran Militia, Solar Auxilia, and even a few Skitarii surrounded him, sat in defensive positions, and taking cover behind anything that could offer it.
>2 lost looking Astartes had also joined them. One of them was an Imperial fist, wearing miss-matched armour that had been hastily repaired during the battle and carrying a Heavy Bolter. The other was a lonely Iron Hand, one of the few to make it to Terra before the traitors arrived. She was missing an arm, and held a Power Axe in the remaining hand.
>The IXth had brought his battalion of Soldiers back to occupy this location. One of the direct routes to the throne room. If the Traitors were to advance any further, they would certainly advance through here.
>And yet they had not advanced. It had been hours since he had left Regina's consort to hold part of the outer perimeter, but he knew better than to hope that he was still fighting ahead of them. Both of them had known this was the end, the advancing Astartes tanks and traitor Knights had made it plain to all. A fresh regiment of Solar Auxilia couldn't have hoped to hold the line against that, let alone the ragged battalion of Terran Militia he was commanding.
>But the Astartes were needed at the heart of the palace, and so he had faced it with a stoic and unflinching dignity. Ordering as many Militia to the front to buy the Astartes a few precious minutes to fall back to the final defensive lines, and giving command of what Militia couldn't be brought forwards to the IXth.

>The IXth and VIIth consorts hadn't been close, rarely seeing or talking, even before Isis' rebellion. But before they had parted, the VIIth had given the IXth a slightly sad look and said, "I deeply regret not talking to her. One last time. Before she had gone with the Empress, and I had stayed down here."
>"What would you have said?" replied the IXth.
>After a brief pause he answered: "I would have asked her, Why me?"
>The IXth cocked his head. "Why you?"
>"Why me?" He nodded. "The Daughters of the Empress are close to Angelic beings, that the Ancient's worshipped. They are adored and beloved by all who are graced to be in their presence. Our love to them was almost assured. But what was it about me that had her intrigued. Had her take me in and spend time with me. What did I do to deserve her taking my hand in hers, to have a place by her side, to warm her bed. Did she even love me? Could a being like that truly love a mortal like me?"
>The VIIth's hand was shaking, ever so slightly, just for a second. And then he hardened once more. He gave a final nod. A small gesture of farewell, and good luck before turning and marching to join his men to meet their end.

>The IXth pondered those exact thoughts now. His beloved was truly an Angelic being, and had he been of smaller mind he likely would have fallen in with Lorgara's cultists, and worshipped her as one.
>"Why me?"
>His closed his blood shot eyes and shifted slightly, scraping his golden armour against the pillar he lay against. Not that it mattered. His armour was so dented and scratched he would need it extensive refitting's and repairs to even make it presentable again. He may as well have it melted down and have a new suit created.
>He chuckled grimly. As if he would live past this day to have another suit of armour fitted. He would die in this armour.
>A vox crackle drew him from his thoughts and he looked over to an Auxilia communications officer.
>"Repeat and Confirm" the voidsmen said, his voice hoarse, but clearly quivering.
>"What is it?" The IXth stood up, collecting his power spear from the ground and moving over to the vox operator, staying low behind cover.
>A few more barely audible crackles came through the machine, and the operator looked up, "The Vengful Spirit is pulling out of orbit, and the Daughters of Isis are evacuating the planet."
>Immediately this caught the attention of all nearby, and even the two astartes snapped to attention to hear what was being said.
>"The traitors are in disarray. I think... I think Isis has been slain."
>The words echoed throughout the battalion as soldiers excitedly passed around the news. Could it be true? In the final hour, could their victory have been won?

>Their answer came hours later, as the skies over Terra became alight with Drop Pods. Not of the Traitors, but from the Ultramarines and Dark Angels. The nights sky was lit up flashed of lance fire as the First and Thirteenth legions smashed into the traitors ships and the traitors began to evacuate en-masse.
>The Battalion came alive with cheering, as the most brutal battle in the long history of mankind came to a sudden end.
>The IXth consort wasn't celebrating. He had jumped on board of a passing Rhino, to join a group of Astartes heading to the throne room, leaving the Battalion in the command of his 2nd, and ordering them to push forwards and retake parts of the palace.
>The Rhino was painted in the livery of the Iron Warriors, and had been abandoned on the field. A hastily painted on Aquila and an Imperial Fist tank commander sitting through the top hatch and holding a Terran Militia banner was all that was stopping their fellow loyalists from opening fire at them.
>The driver was a White Scar, who had lost her left eye during the fighting days ago, alongside multiple punctures in her armour and who simply hadn't had time to get proper medical assistance. That wasn't stopping the Salamander Apothecary from trying to administer aid to her now while they were speeding down the road, with most of her attempts to spray medical foam into the Chogorian's wounds being battered off while being sworn at.
>Inside the Rhino sat a handful of other Astartes, mostly Imperial Fists and Blood Angels. The IXth was glad to see some of his "daughters", but something was noticeable wrong with them. They sat silent, with heads pointed down, and with small, sharp twitches as if they were trying to fight off some form of possession.
>The Rhino rolled into the outer sanctum of the throne room, before stopping. A line of Golden Warriors stood, in their path, Guardian spears lowered and aiming at them.

>"Hold your fire!" The tank commander called out. She climbed out of the hatch and dropped to the ground. "We heard over the vox that the boarding party had sustained casualties and that medical aid was needed."
>As she spoke the Salamander Apothecary stepped out, followed by Astartes carrying boxes of medical gear and stabilisation chems.
>... And Geneseed containers.
>The Custodes were hesitant to move, keeping their weapons trained on the new arrival, until a voice boomed out from behind them. "Let them pass."
>In perfect unison the Golden figures stood down and stepped to the side allowing the party through, with the IXth consort brining up the rear, carrying the refrigeration vials for the geneseed.
>The command had been given by Constantina Valdor, and she stood at the doors of the inner sanctum as the party ran past her. She did not meet the eyes of the Astartes, but she did glance down at the consort. He had only met her on one occasion before, and she had been stoic and unreadable, but this single glance down conveyed a feeling that the Consort couldn't place. Not until he entered the throne room. Pain.
>The Empress was sat on the Golden Throne. Her body bloody, broken and in dire condition. Every form of medical and technological expert left in the palace was huddled around her and the throne. Doing everything to keep her alive.
>At the base of the Throne was Regina. Her stoic heart of stone shattered, her head in her hands, and tears poured down her face. She had interred her mother on the throne. Shattered her legion in defence of Terra. And minutes earlier, the fate of her beloved had reached her.
>It was simply too much, even for the regent of Terra. As she sobbed, she held a small golden medallion of a fist holding lighting bolts, that hung from her neck. A gift from her consort, after the victory at Ullanor.
>"Not you as well. Don't leave me as well" she whispered to the medallion, as if it could change anything.

>In the surrounding area yellow armoured Astartes worked. Some were administering aid using the newly arrived supplies while others held the still bodies of their lifeless sisters as they removed their geneseed. The consort spotted one Daughter of Dorn, remove her helmet and wipe away the wetness building in her eyes, before placing it back on her head to keep working.
>The Salamander Apothecary was removing geneseed, and she called over to the Consort. "I need those vials little one!"
>The IXth consort ran over, placing the vials beside the Apothecary. As she took one out and placed the recovered organ into the vial, the consort realised that he was standing over the broken body of a Sanguinary Guard.
>He looked around and realised that a good third of the bodies lying motionless were wearing red and gold armour, with bloody tear drops on their pauldrons.
>This refocused his attention and he looked around.
>He looked for her. To be standing among her fallen daughters. To be weeping for her mother. He looked for his angel.
>As his eyes darted around the sanctum, they fell on a group of red Astartes, stood in a circle.
>They did not move. They did not administer aid to collect geneseed. They simply stood, looking down at something.
>The Consort tentatively moved forward towards the group.
>He moved past the giants. Most had their helmets removed. They were all shaking to some degree.
>As he passed the final Blood Angel in his way he laid his eyes on Azkaella. She was kneeling, weeping, and inconsolable with grief.
>Below her lay the broken body of Sangunia.
>Her armour was buckled and had been rend open.
>Her wings were torn and bloody.

>The consort of the IXth Matriarch, stood by the tomb of his beloved Sangunia.
>Just as he had done for 58 years.
>What else was he to do? When you're life had been spent with a being like her, how could you move on?
>On the Tomb, lay a marble statue of her. Her wings folded behind her, her hands resting on her sword that was held over her chest, and a single golden tear rolling down her cheek, from closed eyes.
>Around him were visages of her. Of her life, of her deeds, her victories and her martyrdom.
>But none of him with her.
>None of her daughters.
>None of her sisters.
>She stood in images of glass and stone, surrounded by alien beasts, and arch traitors. But she stood alone.

Absolutely immaculate work anon, my only question is how much money would I have yo pay you for a "Why not?" in her voice to echo in his mind as he goes on into the golden light.
Wonderful all around and so beautifully tragic.
It makes me imagine their updated tomb being religiously maintained by Fraternis and Blood Angels, the scenes remade of them together, of their lives joys and victories, decorated with something for everything but the most deeply intimate moments in their lives.
Thank you for this, it's really genuinely made my day.
