That I am, was just gonna get back to another page after cooking. As for lore, I've got lots of *notes* -picrel- for everybody in my setting to use. But turning all that into proper lore is taking some time inbetween drawing and life, so I've been trying to focus more the drawing for now.

What makes an alien race compelling within a story? What makes you invested in their existence?

Compelling character(s). Unless the story takes place from an alien perspective, every xenos is basically an ambassador for the reader/player. Interesting design is good too. Not of a fan of weird features just for the sake of being weird though.

Personally, I like knowing about long term desires and historic events that helped shaped them into what they are today.

For me to be interested in aliens races in fiction, they would have to have a unique alien boby design, so no humans painted a different color with some pointing ear, or just straight up anthropomorphic animals or insects calling themselves aliens.
Have actual alien cultures that's not just some random human culture repacked and a few things added to make it seem alien.
Lastly if the aliens in the setting are space fairing, builds advance technology and are overall intelligent then for the love of God have them act like it and not have them dumbed down the moment a human appears and interacts with them.

Interesting scenario. While humans and other solarans aren't wide spread on Synsyn physically, they are widely known. Any territory who knows anything about the world, would help a lost kid or person. Whether they'd do it out of kindness or pragmatism, is up to them and their exposure to humans. Only a backward, uncontacted place would think about driving them away. And that's *if* they couldn't see something familiar in them. But those types of yosuine would be just as unfriendly to other striders.

Funny you should ask that. While letting someone nip on your neck gets the message across quickly, other cultures do things differently. In the E.C. -picrel- the Four Pad System ends with the girl printing her inked claw pads on their suitor's body. After every date! The other pages explains it more in passing. When they're more committed, they would start applying these matching year-round tatoos on themselves (with more traditions focused on that.) I can plan another entry around that.

They aren't optimized for that environment at all, no webbed fingers or toes, no gills, no fins or tails.
They seem like a reasonable "frog" species, that should live on the surface in swamps and mud. But the part where Jar-Jar dives underwater and swims for minutes on a single breath doesn't really make much sense based on the apparent evolutionary adaptations of gungans.

Rabini's species are known as the Keht from the planet Mihoan. They live 130 years on average and are usually 7-8 ft tall. Their society is decentralized and feudal, and most matters are handled through dealing-making amongst the nobility.

I dont think I've talked much about the magic elements in what I'm working on since the focus is mostly on the xenos here. Rabini is a mage with the rare exorcism-type spell, one that can remove a curse-type spell for a price. She converts curses into monsters that must be slain to complete the exorcism. A stronger curse yields a stronger monster, but her combat capabilities are limited. She lives in a remote area of a fiefdom where she makes a living from her magical and sexual services. She has a thick accent and likes to tease and mess with her friends.
