Well, it isn't really posing characters, not sure why I wrote posing. It's handcrafting the environment and adding custom textures and making all that shit. There's no environment that comes close to what I want, that's the issue.
So I have to use modular stuff and simple planes, add seamless textures that fit and don't clash, add normal map to them.

I use an RPY file to override the history window formatting because they're usually so shit and only have 4 lines of text. Usually the background color isn't a problem. I'll look into fixing that later. That code block is already 30 lines long because it has to create the history window from scratch to make up for some games not even having a history window.

What's the point of having the portrait in the corner when the character is in frame?

Renpy game crashes are so devastating because those faggots keep the Seen Text history in memory and don't save it with each autosave. Game crashes and you lose massive chunks of the Seen Text which nukes any motivation to replay the game using different routes since skipping only seen text is no longer an option.

I tried wedging some code into the game directory but not sure if it works until the game crashes again. It should theoretically save the Seen Text with every line of dialogue on the fly.

How does DAZ3D handle crowds or performance in general? I've been using HS2 for my WEG for a while, and while #it-just-werked for a while, it's prone to crashes lately when trying to assemble scenes with like 4+ actors and a busy background plus post-processing.

I'm still on time to make a switch without losing that much progress and I've realized most of the medieval assets I was using were pirated DAZ shit anyways. My biggest fear is porting my cute girls to gobbo heaven.

You can press F5 and turn down post processing weight in scenes with lots of characters, disable the fires and those effects, if that's still too laggy then disable shadows while posing or turn down far-clipping distance if it is an HQ map.
And your HS2 workspace should be sorted in folders (right), it'll make it easier to disable multiple things at once with one click, especially effects.
If you have SSS enabled, then disable that too.
If there are multiple female characters, check if you're using the DefaultBodyF and not the HighPoly body uncensor when it isn't necessary.
